A really great album that tickles my indie-bone is the Stubbs the Zombie Soundtrack. I think it is potentially the best thing since sliced bread. It features some of my favourite bands, Clem Snyde and The Flaming Lips for instance, covering some of the greatest songs like Earth Angel and Lolipop. I think that there fails to be a single song on that album that I dislike. They're all bloody gold.

i really dont like cover albums, but if it makes more people listen to these old awesome tracks then i guess im fine with it ;o

The best album in the WORLD, is "The Sufferer and the Witness" by "Rise Against". Seriously now. Best ever. Get it.

Yes, but... I hate Rise Against. D:
I'm more of a Puritanical Euphoric Mysanthropia kinda person.

I've got two more newer albums that I've been listening to:
All American Rejects: Move Along (I only liked the singles, but got into a bunch of their other songs from EA Games )
Elite Beat Agents: Original Music (Not really an album, I guess, more of a compilation of the game music done by the actual bands! So much better )

Due to the nature of the Soviet system western standard "albums" were difficult to really produce for people who were not too friendly to the prevailing myths of the socialist state, but if you want a kick ass taste of the Kavkuz and Eastern European folk/rock I'd totally suggest checking out Boulat Okudzhava or Vladimir Vysotsky. Boulat's Picenka ob arbatye is my favourite track by him, tot kto ranshye s nye bwil is a really happening tune by Vysotsky.

Hey, not everyone likes rock. You don't see Katelyn or I criticizing everyone else because they don't like R&B and pop, do you?

You know what? Sometimes you've gotta love the mtv-pop. Personally, I have all my Backstreet Boys on my top 10 albums. I love Justin Timberlake, and Pink is love.

Beyond that, my favorite albums ever would be:

Glass Houses/The Stranger_Billy Joel
Future Sex/Love Sounds_Justin Timberlake
Millenium_Backstreet Boys
Road Rage/Rant and Roar_Great Big Sea (Alan Doyle=hottest man alive)
A Hangover you Cant Sleep Off (or something like that, I have a rip of it)_Panic! At the Disco
aaaand State of Emergency_The Living End

...thats it for now.

None of these posts are valid until all y'all go out and listen to the Afghan Whigs's 1965. It's probably their most consistent album, but there's some seriously good streaks on other albums (especially the whole run from "My Enemy" to "Honky's Ladder" on Black Love). If you're not so into the soul influences on 1965, then Gentlemen might be up your alley. It's probably just as good, but there's nothing that quite hits the peaks of "Citi Soleil", "John the Baptist", or "Somethin' Hot".

Oh boy, a toughy.

Synthsations - KaW
Urban Comatose - KaW

The variety in the sounds are amazing. Anubis is one of my favorites, as well as Disconnected, Take Me Back (he has a live version at his site), Indulgence, and Xuxa. Not to say those are the only ones. The rest are awesome as well.

One of the few albums I'll actually sit down and listen to all the way. Probably the only two I've ever did that...

That made me crack up. It's "A Fever you can't Sweat Out" but I personally like your spin on it much better

Does anyone like Shiny Toy Guns? I never heard of them until last week. I like "Rain Monday".

I dig Shiny Toy Guns, they're energetic.

Is anyone here into Fort Minor? I heard a few songs from them today and they were pretty catchy. I'm considering getting the album.

So, has anyone tried to find some Vysotsky or Okudzhava? They're horrorshow!

Also on my list of all time favourite albums is "Thunder Lightning Strike" by The Go! Team.
