click me

I, for my part, feel like something just has been added to the constant background noise that says I ought to be scared shitless.

What's your take on this, board2?

I really hope the US makes some law banning these in public. I even fear bus cameras, I won't do to well with these. I should gulp now...

I don't like it. It sounds like facism to me. I live in America, and I can see our government taking full advantage of this. Something like this should be illegal, but government does whatever government wants, and even if people complain about this, these things are so small that they could be anywhere, and how would you know?

Well I would imagine a rise in voyeurism for one.
Also, I'm sure police forces wouldn't hesitate to mount these things everywhere they can in public areas. More law-breaking = more tickets = more revenue. No, it isn't a hard&fast guarantee that sort of thing would come of this, but advances in technology of these sorts pave the way for excessive observation.

There are already cameras everywhere, I don't see much issue with this. Until they're linked into automated law keeping robots there won't be many problems as far as I can see.
Besides it realizes my dream of a covert and inexpensive home security camera system.

a caution though: don't go to the bathroom anywhere but your own home

Nothing special I guess, anyone fooling themselves thinking they are not recorded 24/7 certainly live in the bliss of ignorance.

The difference is currently if we need to, we can find blind spots quickly. Speaking of that, these cameras are going to ruin concepts in future movies.

But it would also allow the watched to be watched too.

The watched are already watched, so that would be the same thing as me saying that it would allow the watched of the watched to be watched too; Unless you meant that those who watched will be watched as well which makes a lot more sense than my post.

Someone with no life

Really, it isn't feasible for anyone to be watched with small cameras exclusively unless they were famous or dangerous in some way

Paranoia should have a limit, really, nobody should be worried about this that's on here... I hope

I'm thinking a lower limit, specifically. Like, you can worry that someone's watching you, but if you worry too much about that, it becomes paranoia, which in turn has no upper limit.

And remember: it's not paranoia when you're right.

Kawa: What I am saying that it is paranoia to think that there would be a group of people watching every single person in the country.

It would take to much man power, and even if every second was recorded, there would be too much video for any few people to look through it all... much less 24/7. It's only possible if there is someone looking at only people who matter... so if you are not involved in anything of interest, then it's a bit paranoid to think someone is watching you every second. Of course, it's always a human characteristic to feel like being watched, but there is a point at which it becomes paranoia

That's exactly what I'm talking about. An important or otherwise interesting person would have good reason to worry he's being watched, but the common folk don't. So common folk worrying about that would be paranoid. The important person could be right.
