Well, it looks as if the Commodore design is a fad now. Personally, while I dislike the idea of staking product success on a "nostalgia" and a "kids these days love retro" outlook, I think it will pay off decently for them. Mostly cause the insides sound competitive with other computers out today.

It comes with 1.8 gigahertz dual processors, an optional Blu-ray player and built-in ethernet and HDMI ports. The new Commodore is priced between $250 to $900.

Anyway, while I dislike the way the colors mesh with the classically gaudy logo, I can't rule out ever getting one. So how about you guys? Would you ever buy something like this?

When I first heard about it, I thought it was just gonna be a re-release with a C64 on a chip used. At this point, it looks to be more like a fancy mini-ITX esque PC inbuilt inside a keyboard.

Now all they need is an upgrade of the original operating system that can run Win32 and posix applications and supports reasonably large address spaces and modern hardware.

I believe they covered that.

The Commodore can run the Microsoft Windows operating system or a proprietary Commodore OS.
