Properly? Then digital camera. Quick references, phone camera.

I prefer the quality of my digi camera.

You can't even call what comes out of the other two "pictures"...

Of course you can, just not from your point of view. It's just not within your standards of digital pictures. A webcam, a Nintendo DSi, an ipod nano, etc. are all capable of taking pictures.

I have a digital camera, but I only use it in cases where I bring it on vacations. The camera on my blackberry works fine, but not as great as my $79 digital camera. But I use my phone camera more because it's always on hand. More or less for social networking.

Well, yeah, and so is a photodiode. And this cookie I'm currently munching on is capable of taking the trivial picture (projecting all information onto the empty tuple)...

All being said and considered, I think pictures where you can't resolve more than a general blur suggestive of what was originally depicted (as is the case for all phone cameras I know) aren't really worth it.

I personally prefer digital cameras over the other choices. However, since I do carry my cell phone around with me a lot, I use my cell phone for quick pics of things.

I'd love a proper digital camera, but given that all of them under around $400 are complete crap quality, I just use my cell phone camera. And no, it's not that bad.

btw this and this were taken on my phone (which has the extra advantage of immediately going into dropbox like that).

I use my Archos 43 Internet tablet to take pictures since I always have it with me, but I can't really classify it as a phone or digital camera since it's a media player ( but still not an iPod )

Digital Cameras, we even have a system digital camera around here that is really high quality (but those cameras are expensive as well ).
