Last view: 5350 days 		I've wasted so much money on magic... (almost $2,000) .

I played the older sets, mostly Tempest. It was cool until everyone started buying single cards and adding 1-4 extra card in their decks. Then came the point where jsut about everything was reversable and games either lasted several hours or 5 minutes.

Last view: 5414 days 		I used to play M:TG a lot. with plenty of cool decks

1. Lots of infinite loop combo decks.
2. Many decks that were complex and made everyones b rains hurt. (Kusari-gama+repercussions+furnace of rath = WIN)
3. an awesome black deck that killed fairly quickly

I was never as any good as my friends but they always liked my deck ideas for the most part.

I haven't played in a few years although i really like the new block.

I definitely play Magic. I play Magic a lot. I don't play extremely competitively or anything, though. A bunch of random decks of different archetypes.

My reply was always, "You need 58 more cards and you can only have so many duplicates, good luck on those mulligans."

Heh, I just battled my seven year-old brother in Magic, me with my five-color deck and twenty HP, him with my sucky blue deck but infinite HP.

...

I beat him, only taking about five damage.
Seriously. I attacked about three times with Szadek, Lord of Secrets.

I also had a 42/42 Ulasht the Hate Seed after using his effect to kill himseld and make tokens, then using Golgari Guildmage to revive him, making him stronger. I then killed him again, revived, even stronger... By then, I had about 35 tokens. It's a fun combo.
Imagine how much damage I could do if I used Selesnya Guildmages second effect a couple of times and attacked with all of my creatures!
