Do any of you suffer from sleep deprivation and insomnia? The latter just exacerbates the former for me. It's very troubling.

Yes, but more by choice than pathology - although after a while, it freezes in place as some kind of biological clock, actually rendering me incapable of sleeping before the point where I only would have 3 hours left.

Typically yes, I have fair difficulty sleeping and usually wind up awake into the wee hours. Although lately I seem to have the opposite problem, where I can't seem to get enough sleep and am constantly on the verge of sleep the whole day. :/

I'm kind of of the same way as Xeruss. I really can't fall asleep until late, but sometimes I sleep awhile and am still tired. Only fell asleep in class once surprisingly...

I normally sleep at a fashionable time, mostly on weekends when I pull the all-nighters

On weekdays I try get a decent amount to stay awake the next day

I was sleeping during the day and staying awake all night for over half a year, but a week ago I somehow stumbled back into a day schedule, and I've been able to maintain it so far. While I was staying up at night, however, I sometimes had difficulty getting to sleep at the same time in the morning, and sometimes I would stay awake until early or even late afternoon. Problem is, constantly adjusting our internal clocks tends to do more harm than good, so it's best to avoid doing so if possible, although everyone is affected by sleep schedule changes differently.

I have a tendency to stay up late, but mostly cause there is so much interesting to see...

I used to be able to pull off 36 hour days, but nowadays I can barely stay up 18 hours before getting tired.

I usually sneak around when everyones asleep and stay up 'til about 2:00am. I wake up at around 7:30am for School, god and I almost fall asleep in class, I did once and go sent in the hall and fell asleep again. I have band in the mornings and leave at around 7:50. My day is packed full of failure. *Ino Facepalm*

Well that's kind of odd...

Anyways, I'll get back to topic. Waking up at 7:30? You're lucky! I wake up at about 5:30. Then I get on a smelly bus, get off, and get on a cramped one. It sucks, but luckily I can talk on the second.

I don't take this bus that you talk about. I only take it when I am not going to band, and that is at 8:35am. I hate waking up at 7:30 let alone 8:00-20.I skipped school today because of my tiredness. Just too lazy to get out of bed. Mind you I was up 'til 1:00

As it did recently for me again, it would appear that pulling a single all-nighter is generally a good method to stabilize one's sleep schedule. After an initial phase of difficulty, you will find that it is quite easy to go to delay sleep arbitrarily until the moment of your choice.

Same for me, some days i just choose to stay up the whole day so i can get up at a sane time at the next day.

Although i have to count on that i tend to sleep longer than usual. It happens that on some weekends, i wind up sleeping for 12 hours, first sleeping for 8 hours, then falls asleep again for four more hours as i have nothing better to do.

I don't like to sleep a lot. I feel like I'm wasting my life. I do make sure that I get enough sleep that I'm not a cranky mess. I tend to go to bed around 4am and wake up at 10:30am.
