Not sure if this is different enough to the photo thread, but I guess this one is a tad more specific.

Add a description too to make your post more than just like 'heres a photo!' or, just have a description and no photo at all. whatever works.

Here's me and my ex (who I was with for over 6 months)

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/richyawyingtmv/camerapics331.jpg
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/richyawyingtmv/Picture041.jpg

However she turned out to be a complete and utter bitch who really cared about no one apart from herself. So fuck her, I've got someone better now.

And I seriously doubt she'll turn out like my ex. Going well so far.

Anyway. Anyone else?

Been with her for quite a while now. I take comfort in knowing she's always by my side. I don't have a photo on hand right now, but I do know what she looks like from seeing her so often, so here's an "artist's rendition", if you will.

Wow, I've been with someone who looked just like that before.

I have an awesome girlfriend named Danielle (not the one here though, this one is known as Sarial )

We've been together for about three months now, and I will be moving in with her in less than two months

Derek and I

This is Derek ("postal") and I. This is not really a great photo, but then I am pulling the "ahhh, evil camera" face.

He is very sweet and he makes me very happy. He has also been putting up with a lot of ranting and such from me about work lately. But it's nice that he's been willing to put up with that shit.

I hope the link works. I cannot check as my site is blocked by work's filter.

Jeeze, someone's bitter.

I am single, and I won't torment YD by posting a picture of her and labeling her my ex (nor will I make an obscene drawing that makes me look bitchy and bitter about the breakup, unlike SOME OF YOU). We're still friends

Shadic: That picture of you reminds me of cpubasic13... for some reason.

Partner implies that one would be not whole without another.

It's still probably the term I'd use, cause "boyfriend" sounds quite high-schooly and "lover" doesn't sound right either.

What the hell is wrong with partner?

If this thread were titled "your other half" or something, then I might agree with you. But partner? People use that word commonly to refer to the person they're with.

Sure, and in dancing. It's also a nautical term.

Having looked up the word "partner" in the dictionary, the definition doesn't seem to imply that one isn't "whole" or such without the other though.

The word partner does imply that there is a unity or association, and generally that they have equal status in the [personal or business] relationship.

Consort however... well, it says that is the husband or wife of a reigning monarch.

Spouse doesn't work because the word is associated with marriage.

Partner... seems pretty appropriate really.

It's also a bridge term. And a partner is one cross I don't have to bear.
