Tried contacting a admin quite a while back and was told to try and talk to another admin on msn or something, don't use im of anysort except FB chat. Anyways can one of the mods reset my password and email me it. My other user id is c0nfu53d.

Sorry, but out of plain curiosity, what admin was it you talked to?

In order for something like a "forgot password" button to work, you still would have needed to provide an email address for your old account - which you didn't. Because of that, I presently have no means of establishing that you are, in fact, the same person and not just a random passerby, old acquaintance of that person demanding access to his account or whatever else; while your geographical area of origin appears to be [roughly] the same, the providers are different. If you have some means of providing evidence supporting your contention that you are, in fact, c0nfu53d, I can do the password reset for you.

Are you sure? His user name was listed in the board copyright message displayed at the bottom of the page (© 2005-2010 Acmlm, Xkeeper, blackhole89 et al.) And his user name was a different colour to a normal user too ie it wasn't pink or blue.

To be honest I don't care who resets my password, you or xkeeper. I Would have messaged him but you said to irq him and I'm not even sure how to do that so I lost interest.

You really should consider getting a forgot password button tho. Your the only forum/website that doesn't have one, as far as I know. I'll let xkeeper know about this thread.

Xkeeper is banned. Had you read the FAQ, you'd know what each username color means.
Also, he left this board since 2007. He moved to Jul which he runs, and he most likely wouldn't care about this thread. Anyway he has no access to the board...

Originally, Xkeeper was an admin, tho, and a board coder. That's why his name is in the copyright mention.
Kinda the same for Acmlm, tho he wasn't banned, he just left the board because he didn't care anymore about it, or something...

The copyright mention doesn't reflect who is an admin or not... for that you should take a look at the member list.

Unrelatedly, for some reason I can smell Xk-rereg-drama coming... please tell me I'm wrong.

Edit- forgot to say about the "recover password" button, it isn't gonna happen. For one simple reason. This board doesn't force you to have a valid email address set in order to register and/or post. So how do we know where we are supposed to send the recovery email at?

The best method is to ask the actual staff (not the guys in the copyright footer), and if you can provide enough evidence that you are the person you claim to be, they will reset your password.
