Honestly, to me, that doesn't sound accurate.
I would say crack would be more dangerous because it creates a want in people, who will make them do literally ANYTHING to get it. Crack and Alcohol should be switched IMHO. That or Heroin's rate should be more accurate. But that's my opinion. ____________________ セシル |

I think this is probably accurate anyways because many many people drink alcohol, where as very very few people use crack... |

Bah, I would not ever support prohibiting alcohol. Quite simply, drink responsibly; it's really not that hard, you can enjoy your alcohol without negative effects. |

Posted by blackhole89Posted by Kiokuffiib11Have you never seen an actual alcoholic, then? Alcoholism might be on the decline but there's nothing wrong with recreational drug usage. Also what if you like abusing people as well as alcohol? e: or if you like abuse but not alcohol |

Posted by blackhole89The most uncomfortable situation I been in my life, involved a middle-aged alcoholic. In the middle of the day, when I was commuting to a university lecture. Guy was not only social in the creepy way, he was insisting on pulling on my books, slapping at my knee (for no reason at all wtf) and all that. So yes, I believe the claim with alcohol being on top after that encounter. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Ailure that is just you being socially-awkward and having lots of autism. That sort of drunk is completely harmless, the bad type that's ostensibly the subject of this study goes home from the bar in the middle of the night (maybe hitting some people on the way) and beating his wife and kids for no especial reason. |

He was acting rather confused and violent actually.
On the other hand, I had bit of a schadenfreude when I realized he bought several train tickets, all wrong and took the train going in the wrong direction. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Posted by Ailure Ah, sorry, I guess I sort of forced my (probably very American) impressions of the "alcoholic on the bus" which over here is inevitably associated with the homeless, (often) mentally-deranged population considered to be a menace and a threat to those around them (and most importantly an eyesore) despite their relatively high victimization at the hands of authority figures (police, etc) as well as pretty much the rest of society, including the marginally-better-off lower class. All I'm saying is that these people who'd be called mentally ill are usually in a different category than the everyday violent drunk, and in my experience, in a position more likely to be the abused than the abuser. Many of the women (and men as well) in such positions are indeed drug (ab)users and because of their mental state are at high risk of violence and sexual exploitation, and I hate to say it, but they end up as roadkill not too infrequently and treated not too dissimilar at the hospital and, eventually, the morgue. Of course we have our violent alcoholics here, but drinking and driving--which by the way must account for an absurd proportion of drug-related deaths/damages--is preferable to *shudder* using public transportation here. |

Posted by HazPosted by Lilmario Cannabis is intrinsically harmless, especially when consumed after the formative stages of brain development and through a non-combustion means of administration such as ingestion or inhalation through a vaporizer (either way you avoid carcinogens and many of the other harmful effects of smoking). However, because it has reached a certain level of societal saturation the extrinsic effects such as driving while intoxicated become more prominent. On the bright side, meth is apparently pretty harmless to everyone except you! |

Posted by blackhole89That would be hard to show anyway, because: what if a rapist sometimes uses meth, but even without it is still a rapist [vs] someone uses meth and, due to being high, rapes someone.Posted by Fagotron ____________________ |
