mockup of a psp phone

and of the psp2 which isn't going to be around until late 2011

On most phones you can do PSX games but I have no clue about how good the controls are or if you can do PS2 emulation. Would it be hoping for too much to expect some sort of way to play PS2 games on a portable device in the next few years? Some fans made a "portable" mod of a PS2 but it looks too clunky to be useful for mobile gaming at least. Honestly this will be my first dedicated gaming device so I don't really know that much about how this stuff works. The PSP successor will have an HD display and a solid state optical processor and will shoot lasers so I am looking forward to it.

itt recommend psx games to play/replay

The PSP2 hasn't even been designed yet.

25 FPS in a menu system? Wow.

Reminds me of that PSP port of Desmume.

But seriously, how retarded do you have to be to call an Ericsson a PSP2?

Judging from the pic, the only PSP-like thing about it is the button glyphs. I like the debug options in the menu, though.

This looks like a downgraded PSP Go. I hate the PSP Go...

Well, I hate the PSP in general (okay that's actually a little overblown it's more of a pronounced dislike) but that's no reason to insult a perfectly good Ericsson

I don't know. From the decidedly tattered and badly designed look of the device (in an edge where everything that is to sell has to look new and edgy) to the menus looking like nothing more than cheap android UI edits, this really screams "hoax" to me.

I don't see why that's shocking, it's not like the menu really has to update very often.

Perhaps. But what kind of FPS is 25 anyway?

PAL after deinterlacing?

Also, I reckon that quite many mobile systems nowadays would use speedstepping and other performance-lowering techniques to save battery power.

Do you think you could play suikoden II on your android phone comfortably, or would you need a more modern one or a nicer control pad or whatnot?
