You guys still have Trapster, which is something of a minor miracle.

And yet I'm so much better than you'd ever be.

does he still stalk elin?

Nope. I've changed my ways. Like a certain banned re-reg should too. Besides, I never really "stalked" her. It's all in the past now, though.

@ninjablooper: I was going to point that out too. Seems like complaining IS good for something.

Btw, welcome back, CF.

I really, really hate to bring this up, but you totally did stalk her, dude. There will be no more mention of it.

Indeed.

I know you're reading this, Xkeeper. Stop bothering to stir up drama like this. It's been over a year, goddammit.

The name "Chaos Force" is familiar to me, but I'll be damned if I can remember which incarnation it was...

Wow, didn't expect to get this much of response this fast. o.O
I remember you Googie, KP9000, Blackhole, GreyMario, Trapster, etc. Glad to see you guys are still around.
I had left for a good reason, I had started a family. I still stopped by here every once and awhile and while I kind of know what happened. As much as I'd like to blame Xkeeper for everything because, sure he hacked the board multiple times, and sure he finally took over and ran it into the ground, and...hmmm, not sure where I was going with this...

Anyways, I am glad to see some of the main people of the board are still around. Maybe this place still has some spark that can get it going again.

I think it was Anya on the old board that made a thread about where you think the Acmlm Board will be like in 10 years. I sure as hell didn't think it would end up like this.

I had been hanging around the smwc boards for the past few years, but I'd love to come back here if this place could be brought back to it glory days.

Well, it's a start if you come back. Perhaps you could bring a few more people with you.

And Anya has been paying visits here.

Eh I hate to be the pessimist, but I have a feeling those days are gone now. Sure, the activity could come back, but it won't be with the same group of oldbies.
Also, I recognize your username too, though you probably don't remember me.

Well, time marches on. We'll never get that 1995-2005 phase when the internet still was young and free and we rode into the sunset on our Geocities-hosted steeds together back either.

Rather than dwelling on the past and how its restoration could be brought forth, though, it would make more sense to actually sit down and think of a sensible plan for future that ideally does not rely on a set of people undoing the character development they underwent during the past 5 years. While I don't reckon the board is going to die anytime soon - even if we are no good at calling forth growth, I think the present administration at least has a degree of blockheadedness that will make us pull through somehow for years to come if all else fails - good ideas for that would be of much utility.

Either way, I'm glad I was remembered

Fundamentalists and evangelists tend to fetishize post-apocalyptic doomsday and stuff, but I think there's an almost melancholic sweetness to the epilogue of any story--as the curtain closes on this performance and the crowd starts to disperse you get this warm feeling knowing the characters go on living their lives even after the last page.

Maybe we had this feeling some time after the forums did go Atomic Boom in 2007. We even had a countdown timer...

One thing I will ALWAYS remember is the infamous thread that was supposed to act like a standing ground for some sort of choose-your-own-adventure game, with anyone playing and the Game Master narrating according to the other people's actions. Apparently, this thread is lost forever, only wandering in ethereal form somewhere at the heart of the Twilight Zone...

It's not only this website, but the internet in general is turning into an abandoned warhouse filled with old garbage nobody wants anymore. A wasteland with only the artifacts of an ancient civilization.

/b/, back when it was good.

The way Aaendi is putting it sounds outright respectable, if not somewhat epic.

There's always an ancient civilization... whose stuff still works long after they're all gone... I would link tvtropes but it's not quite working right now.

You'd be surprised about the artifacts of power buried deep in the board code.

You forget, I can already see many of them (though not any from the last year or so, unfortunately... ).
Speaking of which, did you figure out the secret(s) of the universe, yet?

Am I the only one who is personally fine on this board? Yeah, I only joined recently so I never saw this board in it's best days, but still, I like here. Few active members limits the spam, the problems, the arguments. I haven't touched a ROM for months, but I still come here everyday. If we'd just think of more topics, we can make more discussions like this.

I'm surprised at how few people are interested in my SNES software sprite rotation algorithm. Isn't anybody surprised that I somehow came up with an algorithm for doing something that was thought of as impossible, especially on a system that people claim not being capable of moving 4 sprites onscreen without major slowdown?
