I'm hoping he's suspended for at least the rest of this season PLUS all of 2007-08, if not forever. Nothing much else to say in my opinion. |

Good. That was just fucking slimy of him. The NHL doesn't need goons like him. |

Well, from that replay it didn't look like the player he hit is going to be out for too long. Probably some stitches and he'll be back in the line-up. Hopefully.
As for Simon, yeah, he doesn't deserve to play the rest of the season. He'll be this/next years Bertuzzi. A cheap shot for no good reason. Seriously, the hit on Simon may have been a little dirty. It may not have. But if Simon didn't like it he could have just dropped the gloves and pounded the guy or hit him back later in the game. I mean, the game itself allows for the other team to get some retributin for bad hits or whatever, but this is not one of those ways. Really unfortunate too because Simon has improved since his days in Calgary. He was becoming a good power forward and this may cut his career short. |

wtf seriously.
But stuff like that reminds me that the ref job is really weird. 5 minutes is nothing, when you look other calls that have been given. But yeah, I'd say the league should suspend AND cut the salary in half, in such cases. |

That was as bad as the one I seen from the minors, except the guy was on his knees and the stick was broken over his face.
Wait, isn't this the second NYI player that's had a problem controlling his stick? I seem to remember a few weeks ago, Blake jabbed Crosby for no reason in the mid section while they were just standing there. I agree with you DarkSlaya, halving the salary would probably help quite a bit. The suspensions also need lengthened. I still see no reason for that kinda play. Sure hockey is a rough sport, but that seemed like he intentionally meant to hurt him. |

That's a good thing. I can't imagine having what was it supposed to be, a Las Vegas hockey team?
Simon had the longest suspension ever in the NHL of 25 games. My local newspaper gave a list of the top 10 longest NHL suspensions, I was surprised to see Maurice Richard on the list. I guess just because he has a trophy named after him doesn't mean he isn't capable of getting suspended. |

Good. We don't need another Colorado happening. A team that is finally back in the swing of things and then they move.
And they were one of the 6 original expansion teams. You can't move one of those teams. |

Detroit took the lead in points just last night. They beat the Mighty Preds 4-2. That's the 3rd time they've played each other this month, and the 3rd time the Wings came out on top. |

not April 1st, wtf. --- Canes officially won't participate to the playoffs, with a loss to the Lightning, and a Canadiens win. |

Weeping isn't the word. FRIGGING HABS. Changes HAVE to be made this offseason, there's no doubt. Bye-bye Kovalev, Samsonov and Aebischer for sure...
My Isles (well, they're my team today!) had BETTER beat the Devils... And if Toronto gets in, Buffalo better have the brooms ready. |
