What is it? How do you feel about it? And are there any interesting stories behind it?
My first name is Anthony, which I'm pretty indifferent to. It's not good or bad, it's just my name. I was going to be named Calvin originally, after the spiky-haired troublemaker in Calvin and Hobbes. Then they changed their mind and decided to name me after my grandfathers, so it was gonna be Anthony Gerald. The thing was, Gerald hated his name and always went by Jerry, and my parents didn't like the sound of either Jerry or Gerald (too old-fashioned for them), so they gave me the middle name of just the letter J by itself. Seriously. Also, they liked J because then maybe I could have been A.J. It never took. I hate being called Tony, it sounds too jockish and it's my uncle's name (also Anthony with the same last name). People seem to think I go by Tony and call me that by default, and I just assume they're talking about someone else. I'm Anthony, not Tony! Don't change that beautiful "th" in my name into an ordinary, run-of-the-mill "t"! Online, I prefer being called Kernal though. Being called by my real name on the Internet sounds awkward and weird. |

I was going to be named Max (Maximilian)
Thankfully I wasn't though. I like the name I was given but I will never tell what it is! |

I never told anyone online my real name, even my first name, until mid-2005 (I started posting at boards in January 2002). For a while, if anyone asked I said it was "Harry", which was a joke from school because at the time I looked like Harry Potter and the movies had just started to come out. |

Now that I'm done being a smartass, I suppose I should elaborate.
First name is Danielle, for whatever reason. There is nobody in my family who I took this name from, I guess my parents just thought it sounded nice. My middle name is Elizabeth, after my grandmother on my mom's side of the family. My full name is long, that is all I will tell you.

I have two legal first names in the states.
-Dane; The name I'm using now and I'm usually referred by it in school and at work. -Deric; I use this name in most of my mail and bills. My middle name is James. I prefer to be called Dane. If you're going to send me a christmas card, send it to Deric but you can write Dane or Deric in it if you'd like. |

As it says in my profile, my name is Jonathan Hartman. At one point, I went by Jon, but I have since given up that name. My nickname here (and everywhere for that matter) has no bearing to my real name. In fact, I'd say my nickname is a completely different person. I'd elaborate, but I feel this is not the thread for it. ____________________ My current complication: Girl's name who gets no more than 10 minutes of screen time in the actual game. |

Well... my first name is "Derek"... and I believe that the true way to spell "Derek" is the way I have it spelled right there. I am not named after anyone...
My middle name is "John", which is my Dad's middle name also. His first initial is also D, so we both have the initials DJA... which is kinda neat i suppose. ____________________  |

My full name is Tony Adrien Alexandre Timbro.
Tony is my father and grandfather's name. My mother wanted to have a son called Tony but my father didn't, so it was only added at the beginning of my full name. Adrien is my godfather's name, and Alexandre is the name my parents gave me. Alexandre doesn't come from anywhere except that not many people were called that at the time. I just go by Alexandre most of the time with my two first names cut off. My full name is Gillian Alexandra Kinney. I love it, even though my initials spell a type of ooze popular on Nickelodeon.
My mom called me Gillian as soon as they put me on her stomach. As far as I know, I got my middle name because Alexander was one of the boys' names my parents had been considering. Kinney is an Irish name originally spelled Coinnigh. |
