I never thought I'd see the main character Crono die in Chrono Trigger. I was surprised when it happened... main characters usually don't die in plot twists.

I just remembered another one today.

Magma Dragoon from Mega Man X4. I wasn't expecting him to use Street Fighter techniques like the Hadoken or Shoryuken.

Not only that but bringing a ride armor to the fight was a first because there is no boss door to prevent you from bringing one in the room.
