Borderlands and Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers. Playing both in co-op with my friends, using my buddy's Xbox.

I play Borderlands as the Hunter, he's a really good character. I'm level 25, with all of my skill points in my Gunner skill set, and the Ranger class mod. I co-op with three different people, but only one at a time, because of the lolTwoPlayerLimit of single-system play... My friend's Berserker, my other friend's (the first guy's roommate) Siren, and the roommate's girlfriend's Siren. The Soldier doesn't get any love from us.

I don't care much for the Magic game... The lack of customization drives me crazy. Although, in co-op, my friend and I totally destroy the opposition with Liliana Vess's first deck, and Tezzeret the Seeker's Artifact deck. Howling Mine and Underworld Dreams is a hilarious damage combo.

I'm just starting up Mega Man Battle Network 2 for GBA, and still need to get a controller with an analog stick to beat Conker's bad Fur day on N64 (Man I love that game)

Gog damn it.

This is the farthest I've ever gotten on my Cave Story three-heart run, too.

I just got Ratchet: Deadlocked (aka Ratchet: Gladiator here). I got the 2nd and 3rd game when they came out. I replayed both recently and decided to get a little back into the series..

I just recently beat Super Princess Peach for DS, and I don't feel like playing the postgame shit. That game was terrible. The difficulty curve wasn't consistent enough for my liking, meaning it'd attempt to be hard on one screen, then patsy out on the next. Not to mention the whole vibe (read: PMS-like mood swings) aspect was pretty retarded.

Not a fan at all. I realize this qualifies for the other thread we have going, but I've played worse games. Ones I never finished.

I recall starting that game a couple years ago or so when it was the only commercial game DS emulators could run. I had completely forgotten about it until now, and had your review now been so unfavorable, I would probably be searching for a copy of it now.

About how many hours is it? If it's short enough I may look into it again anyway.

Otherwise, I intend to start playing through Golden Sun again either tonight or tomorrow. Ideally, I'll the first two through, then finally have a try at Dark Dawn.

In terms of length, it's pretty short. Eight worlds, five levels each (six with the boss), then the rerunning of those levels with three new stages per world in the postgame. I can't give an accurate time estimate, because I played over the course of the past month-ish, and my flashcart consistently derped and stopped registerring several times during gameplay...

I feel like playing Golden Sun, too, The Lost Age is a favorite of mine. As for Dark Dawn, I dunno what it is, but I'm strongly disappointed in it... Maybe it's the point-of-no-return that screwed my perfect run. :/ I should probably go back and finish it at some point, at any rate.

I wish I had finished the second game on my first time through, but I stopped shortly after reaching Lemuria. :/ I'm a step out of sync with the storyline, but I did love the first game. As far as Dark Dawn, I recall reading a similar review of the game, saying it felt somewhat rushed overall, and specifically citing the same design flaw.
Either way, I feel I should play it, though I'll probably make sure I have a djinn FAQ the first time through to help me avoid the point-of-no-return issue.

Lemuria is only the halfway point in the best game of the series (in my opinion). D: Finish it, or watch my poorly executed let's play... I did NOT do that game due justice. :/

Another thing that bothers me about Dark Dawn is the addition of new djinni. They're supposedly magical beings that existed in Sol Sanctum until they all (only 72, as the TLA canon showed with Anemos Sanctum's gate requirement) were released... Where did the others come from? Magical creatures don't reproduce like normal creatures, but then again, I'm used to a different kind of fantasy setting as far as that logic goes.

I recall my cousin told me his first run through the second game took him about 40 hours to complete, and that the point I was at was maybe 20 hours. Apparently I quit right around the good part.
While I would watch your LP, I've never been a big fan of those in the first place, and I figure if it runs around 40 hours long, I may as well spend my time playing the game. Though if I do get stuck at any point, I'll be sure to check you videos for help.

As far as the addition of new djinn, doesn't that make managing them significantly more daunting?

In no particular order:

Left 4 Dead 2 - Community Campaigns make a good change of pace.
Super Smash Bros Brawl - Trying to get the last few trophies and stickers.
Fallout: New Vegas - Just wasting time
Dynasty Warriors 7 - Trying to finish it.
Angry Birds - Free games = good time wasters at work during boring days.

I actually thought Lemuria was boring. It was all exposition, from finding out about Piers' culture to justifying your quest for the lighthouses.
Spoiler:
Not to mention that you could lock your progression to a DEAD halt if Piers has the Lash Pebble when he runs off to mourn his mother.

I actually beat did that LP in (personal) record time, 20 hours on the clock, and not all of it was recorded (grinding, traveling to already visited places, etc that a good RPG LP does). It was a 100% run to boot! My video quality is horrendous, though, because it was one of my first LPs, and I didn't know what I was doing.

Not really, you still only have 72 djinni to find (9 for each character, like TLA), I just don't understand where the nearly 60 new djinni came from.

That's actually quite impressive. Thus far I've made exponential progress on the first game (for myself at least), and I've made it to the Venus Lighthouse, collected all the djinn, and beat Crossbone Isle.
I start my summer work today though, so I imagine I'll be progressing significantly slower through the second game, but I look forward to having a second run at it. There was a ton of things I had forgotten from the first game, and I can only imagine I've forgotten and missed even more from the sequel.
