Try some of the bosses. Huff N' Puff would be nice. Depending on how well you could do battle scripts, you could make it really unique, such as every time that you hit him, the little puffs would come out depending on how much damage was done. (Of course, this is SMRPG, so that would of course be very hard to do probably) I think that Paper Mario bosses or enemies would be a nice touch to add in. Give it a whirl!

Thats a very good idea. I like it, and actually i was just thinking about doing this to a new hack that i plan on making soon. Paper Mario N64, i cant think of any enemies i really loved.
If this topic isnt limited to Just Paper Mario the first one,
id like to say the Thousand Year Door has some interesting characters in it.

I can do just about anything with battle scripts. From making an enemy kill itself, to coming back to life and using vigor up and a new range of spells

I can help with that bit

I dont really know how the do the sprite bit yet

Edit: I like that, im thinking about changing the font, in my newest hack, but idk how it will affect things.

You should consider calculating the space it requires for a sprite. The maximum is 4x4. Although by default, the artists decide to use 3x4 most of the time.

Take this for an example. It's not going to be easy, but I think it's possible.

Wario Sprite

Your original image should be at best quality. Adobe Photoshop works well, so is MS Paint. Just save it at best quality. Also, limit it to 256 colors.

So what you're saying is, too import it, we'd have to maybe shrink it to the best quality thats possible? And then upload it

If you are a good spriter, you could just make the new sprites yourself, instead of importing them from the game. Also, if you do someone like Huff N Puff or Crystal King, you should give him Culex's behavior of floating up and down for that nice effect.

I think that you are onto a great idea here. We can all work together to make this possible.

A: yes cause SMRPG Spriteing would be really hard
with PAPERMARIO64's Scale
i found out the tile map mode would support
enemies like huff n puff,tubba blubba,lantern guy
note i have not started because im still researching
