It isn't finished yet, but compared to before, it might as well be spotless

I need a desk and some shelves still; most of the stuff on the floor is just remnants that I have no home for yet

I was thinking the same about the room. Also, those are some sweet goodies. $420 well spent I'd say.

My room has been messier than in those pictures but not by much. Before you cleaned yours was probably messier. Where is your computer? I see a hard drive...

I had wondered how you were going to solve your storage problem - by deleting files or by buying more storage space.

Now my question has been answered.

My laptop is actually visible in the shots (behind the bag of goodies in the first one, then hidden behind them on the second; it's the small gray thing)

The computer that runs Tina is that gray box with the binary clock (unset) on it

This about sums up my room in a nutshell, I think, pre-cleaning

Jinsei: You might have port 5 incoming blocked or firewalled. Make sure it's open, or use a proxy service like HideMyAss.

Wow, that's quite a mess. You really need to get shelves and stuff soon.

I feel like I'm looking at an I Spy picture. "Find the Mountain Dew, hairbrush, etc."

I'd have a heart attack if my room looked like that.

My room is spotless. Like OCD spotless.

Cool new gadgets, nonetheless.

Your "Clean" room makes mine look like a burn ward in a hospital

And I thought -I- was bad.

Also: What are you going to store on those harddrives? Enormous amounts of material?

I should really look into getting another hard drive - I've got 120 GB + 1 GB + 256 MB. And I'm running out of room.

Any suggestions on where to get inexpensive hard drives?

And my room looks like a Dumpster, with books and magazines all over the floor, half-eaten bags and boxes of various foodstuffs scattered around my computer, a computer with no case on the floor, blankets draped over everything, dirty clothes everywhere, etc.

A very basic (and crappily done in Paint 'cause I'm too lazy to open up Photoshp) diagram of my room. Notice that there are only two things on the floor at all times. My shoes and backpack are under the wooden VG shelf near the bathroom door. The bookshelf's low, so I get a lot of light in my room.

Your room is like 50 times messier than mine. You've gotta have like 100 things on the floor.

[Edit] 500 gig hard drive? I hate you. ... And Justice for All? Awesome. But you should've preordered it...

QFT! plus at least his carpet isn't a disgusting petri dish of 20+ years of unspeakable filth. That's the only really bad thing about my room. That and I haven't really been able to reach my closet in over a year without performing acrobatics, and I'd be terrified to look under my bed or walk barefoot, and Xk is to Mountain Dew as I am with Pepsi, and there's old food thats been sitting in here for weeks. Best way to describe my room, pure organized chaos. Second best way, the song "Trash Day" by Weird Al lol. Right now my shelves and storage space are actually the most unorganized things in my room. That's just where all the crap I have no idea where else to store is crammed. I also have about three drawers pulled out right now, (it was more), their contents spewed out all over the floor until I get around to organizing them. And I have to leap over junk to get into my bed which I of course never make. My room would actually look pretty nice though if I would just get around to cleaning and organizing it. Main reasons for its current condition, I have a small room with way too much nice stuff and random crap to cram in there, but more than that is of course LAZINESS. Hell, I just YESTERDAY took down our Christmas tree, and still haven't taken down the Christmas lights.
