Unfortunately there's almost no way I'm going to buy it, it is pretty cool though. Marzen, I too am psyched about it. It still looks pretty cool, and I'm interested to see how long it is before people completely disassemble its inner workings and start hacking into it, that's always fun.

Do you own Kid Icarus: Uprising, Resident Evil Revelations or Pilotwings 3DS?

I thought not.

Trying to be a dick, are we?

Yes, I don't own these games, but that's not why most people want the 3DS. They want it because of the classic remakes. Honestly, I didn't like the first Kid Icarus, never got into Resident Evil, and don't even know what the fuck Pilotwings is. If I get the 3DS, I'm gonna get Zelda, or friggin' Goldeneye.

Marzen, Pilotwings is an N64 game I've never played, I understand it's rather fun though. If goldeneye gets a deserving remake I'll be happy, I strongly desire to see a generation of kids running around experiencing the joy of goldeneye on a portable system, especially the multiplayer. I have such fond memories of the bunker with proximity mines ^^

Oh god, Proximity Mines. I wish I didn't lose that game somewhere in my younger teenage years, man. That game was the shit.

Obviously not, as I don't have to resort to childish name calling.

Anyway, continuing on the same topic - Kid Icarus: Uprising is a reinvention of the series. It's not a platformer as the original two were, it's more akin to a hybrid of smash bros and Sin and Punishment.

Frankly, it's all the better that KI:U isn't a remake of or "more of the same" as the original KI. Most of the younger 3DS gamers wouldn't know the original anyway. They'd only know Pit and co from Smash Bros Brawl. From there, KI:U could be any kind of game the creators want it to be. And on the flip side, the older 3DS gamers who do remember the original KI get a fresh new game with a classic character.

Everybody wins.

The main reason I want the 3DS is this: NEW PAPER MARIO.

That and I've never had any of previous DS consoles. So I have a lot of games that I'll be able to pick up and use on my 3DS.

I'm very interested in the new Paper Mario as well as the Ocarina of Time remake. I hope that they both please me and aren't a letdown. I'm sure that the 3DS will spawn many other great games over the course of it's lifespan.

I'm excited for the 3DS for more than just the (awesome) commercial games. I'm excited for the potential of homebrew and 3D emulators for the 3DS. This will be amazing.

If Nintendo can help it, there's no such thing as 3DS homebrew.

Yes, for a while, there won't be any. But I don't discredit the hackers at all; it seems as if it's based on the DS architecture (since it can play DS games) so the hackers already have the basis down... they'll just have to figure out what they don't know of the 3DS when it comes out.

I'm sure we'll have it, I mean after all making a claim that your system is "unhackable" means that within a month someone will have found something exploitable about the system, and then things will proceed from there.

Notice how I said "if Nintendo can help it". I never said they could, or even for how long

So, about the new Ocarina of Time remake, do you think that they will be adding new stuff? Such as optional dungeons and bosses, perhaps? I would still buy it even if it was the same game just upgraded (I would love to have OoT on the go with me!), but I would love to see new content. I know that they are changing around some of the menus (Such as using the touch screen to change your boots), but do you think that they will add actual optional and new things that you can obtain or tackle? I would LOVE to see a super-boss like those in Final Fantasy games, that are incredibly hard to defeat and have insane amounts of health. I've always wanted one of those in a Zelda game and I am actually getting ready to attempt to hack one into an Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask ROM.

And if you do believe that they will add in new content, what do you believe will be in store for us?
