Hi all,

I'm having a problem changing the items' names in LOZ NES. Some of them that I've changed are okay but some that I change don't show up correctly. They partially show up or screw the screen up. I use WinHex32 to change the names. However, does each line have a particular limit to what you can put, and why is that some item names in the hex editor have a number before the name of an item?

I finally fixed the item list but I'm having a new problem. The story that comes up in the demo, some words have quotes around them and some are even colored. Does anybody know how to get rid of the quotes and color off the letters in the beginning story?

Well, the quotes are part of the text, so you just have to edit the values for each tile individually. If you want to get rid of them, the simplest solution would be to replace them with a space character...

Background colors are not set on a per-tile basis. You must imagine the screen divided into 0x40 squares of 4x4 tiles. Each square has 4 palette codes associated to its 4 corners. And these 4 palette codes are contained in a single byte, 2 bits per code...
