A beta version can be downloaded here.
There are also various performance tests and whatnot. Fight: IE9 beta vs Firefox 3.6Round 1: A few Microsoft Tests - Flying images test: IE9 wins (Firefox -> laggy) - Falling balls test: IE9 wins (Firefox -> laggy, the balls aren't shown when outside of the frame) Round 2: Real Life Tests (in forced IE9 mode) - Board2, KP9000's layout: Firefox wins (IE9 -> background doesn't fill the whole table, text inside the box is forcibly centered) - Board2, my layout: Firefox wins (IE9 -> text-shadow is missing, but it has border-radius now) These few tests have been done to give you some idea of IE9's capabilities in both Microsoft's world and the real world. Feel free to download it and test more. Also, when scrolling, I can hear my graphics card's fan go up ____________________ Kafuka -- ROM hacking Kuribo64 -- we hack shit |

Testing against only one browser in an extremely limited number of tests means nothing at all. Though it's not surprising that IE still fails at css. ____________________ |

Posted by NightKev Known. That's just a few things I looked at under both browsers to get some idea. It isn't meant to be a full testing/comparison. But I'm pretty sure you can find some of those in a google search... ____________________ Kafuka -- ROM hacking Kuribo64 -- we hack shit |

Hardware acceleration is planned for Firefox (I think it's in some beta/nightly build infact) and will be out before IE9's official release infact.
Some of the other browsers probably already implemented it. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

MS has waste lots of opportunities, but my friends in MS told me : consider IE9
MS has realized their mistakes in former IE versions, IE9 is light and fast. If IE9 is really light and fast, I will use it. Though usually I use opera or Chrome, I didn't uninstall IE8 in my system, why? most bank online system requires IE... ____________________ No, I am not a X Man, I am a XDA Man I start write program since high school, anyone are welcome to try below program written by me: ts to avi |

Hey... As a rule of thumb, watch the post dates on threads you want to post in. This was a five month bump. While you did give good input, it's still bad form.
I'll let you off this time, but if you bump a thread again, I won't be as nice. |
