It started yesterday afternoon with my eye feeling a bit...odd. Like a small bruise if you will. I looked in the mirror at around 3:30 and I noticed that the lid was starting to puff up in the corner (this is happening to my left eye). Since I didn't feel like being at work anyway (our a/c is still out), I went home. After coming home, my hubby and I went out to eat and then stopped off at a few stores. I think noticed it was getting a bit puffier. So we head to the pharmacy and the man tells me to get some cream to rub on the eye lid. I wake up, and its still there. It looks like right above the eye and the eye lid are puffy. And it likes to twitch a bit. So I went to web MD, and they mention that it could just be a bacterial infection or a allergic reaction. I might stop by my friend's house, since he mentioned having something like this about a month ago.

I had one a couple of years ago. It went away after about one day or so. I have no idea where it came from, as I had been drinking the night before. But I don't think it's anything serious. My god, I was drinking last night, and I still feel drunk! <3 St. Patricks and metal!

That's what you call a stye. I got one out of nowhere earlier this year and it drove me crazy for about 2-3 days. It went away on its own finally. Basically you picked up some bacteria somewhere on your hands or whatever and it got into your eye when you rubbed it. Might want to check your towels in your house and make sure they're all clean, as that's where I think I got mine (from someone else's towel I used on accident after a shower.)

It's a popular saying here in Puerto Rico that you get a stye if you deny a pregnant woman's cravings. Run into any pregnant women lately, Anya?

I got a staph infection on my left eyelid recently. It's mostly cleared up now.

No. A stye is like a pimple or an actual sore ON the eyeball. Much more serious than an allergic reaction.

Allergens are really picking up this season due to moisture.

I should have taken a pic of it while it was at its worst. The swelling is going now.

The only weird eye-related phenomenon I remember (besides migraines and such) was once when I had the flu, and if I closed my eyes for a while they would stick closed. That really freaked me out every time I got up during the night "I CAN'T SEEEEEEE! Oh, wait..."

I haven't had anything like that happen to me...

I wouldn't want to try contacts, as they cause a lot of problems...

I'm really squeamish of the idea of anything directly touching my eyeballs. I'm fine with glasses, and I don't play sports or anything that might require contacts.

I had a massive swelling on my left middle finger. I popped it and a lot of stinky pus came out. It was so cool.

I've had stuff like that on my arms and legs before, I think from infected bites and cuts.

Your eyelids touch your eyeballs all the time.

I mean other than that. Like I don't want to touch my eyeballs with my hands for some reason.
