Yeah, Techno Fiend looks nothing like that (But is pretty cool nonetheless).

Erm, so how would I go about wiping the noteskin folder and getting it back to some sort of default? I put some new skins in the folder, and now I can select Flat (Which at least works), and...that's it, actually.

EDIT: Okay, uninstalling and reinstalling stepmania seems to have done the trick.

Out of curiosity, did SM4 introduce any other bullshit to stepfiles beyond "lift notes"?

nope. not yet at least.

Also supporting pump types in miniSM should be trivial, but I'm not staring at the source code. In theory it's just a different set of arrow graphics and an extra column to add.

haha people are actually using that theme
It's being ported to SM4, btw. Actually, it's probably releasable now (unless you play course modes), but it only works on bleeding edge CVS so there hasn't been a release yet.

Wow...you know the only time I see AJ around is when the term 'system zero' is mentioned. I wonder if he Googles it constantly.

Actually no, I've long given up on that (especially after the influx of Japanese people causing my bandwidth to skyrocket last year since the JP Wikipedia entry on StepMania links here). cpubasic13 told be about the board move and I figured I should show up. :x

Ohhh okay...I didn't know you were in contact with anyone here. Just felt like you only showed up every once in a while. I knew you were far bigger over on Bemanistyle.

GOD fucking DAMMIT!!

Just got done doing an assload of good on 13s and 14s and SMO only shows about 1/3 of the games I played and I gained no ranks for tonight. Piece of shit system.

Juggernaut is also scary. I somehow B'd (85 mill) that monstrosity of a 14.

Shiki is my new obsession.

Try this file on oni:

I came within less than 10 DP from AAing it. Then I cried.

Toph's One More Lovely?

Yea, I didn't get a chance to mess around with it. Juggernaut seemed quite a bit harder among others that I got within the last few days.

Those interested in NAKET Coder Revolution for SM4: there's been another public beta release at the SM Underground.

I'll probably pack up a special Acmlm's version of minimalia soon as well (probably to be released on Saturday).

Ooh, interesting...
That theme is so simple that I will probably use it from then on.
Or stick with NAKET Coder Revolution... maybe...

Also, I got PIU Exceed SE finally. Been playing it a bit this week. Unlocked Dignity, but can't even do well on soft pad on that. :\ The FS chart I can pass... in the arcade, though. With bar. Heh.
Oh well, at least I can play Point Break FS at home.

My scores on PSP Revolution (whee fingers!):

Bloody Tears IIDX, Hard (8): AA, 276/81/34/0/0/0/8, perfect combo 391, 74,213,184.
PARANOiA Revenge, Medium (7): AA, 228/45/13/0/0/0/9, perfect combo 286, 67,034,518.
Transistor, Medium (7): AA, 156/36/14/0/0/0/4, perfect combo 206, 66,485,480.
Aurora, Medium (8): AA, 284/83/14/0/0/0/31, perfect combo 381, 77,163,071.

Why no screenshots? Because my PSP fatally crashes whenever I press Select to take a screenshot.

Hey, here's a question. The little spinny things that indicate the mix when you pick a song. I know it goes in the CD Title line of the SM file, but does it have to be included in every file I do, or can I put them all in a folder, offer that for download, and just have the picture in the mail folder and then absolute link to it in every file in the pack?

Did that make any sense?

It's easier to add it along with the uploaded sim, but as AJ said it is possible if you want to cut down on the KB usage on your drive. Generally, you'd do that if you're wanting to get a simulated machine up and don't want a lot of excess clutter roaming around.

Well, today's Saturday and I said I'd make a special minimalia release, so here it is.

download

This version is VERY beta (a ton of SMMAX holdovers), and not everything is finalized. I don't think I'm gonna keep the music, for one thing.

Suggestions/constructive criticism welcome.

p.s. I can't design results screens worth crap, so if someone can help me there that'd be pretty rad. :x

I could probably do mockups easily if I had the styles, so maybe I'll look back into that when I get home later.

Also, managed to play ITG2 today while at Islands of Adventure. Not much playing time, but I managed to play Hiryuu's R&P as well as DD's War Game there. Also got some accomplishments.

After the end of my first playthrough (War Game, R&P, and some other song) I chose Anubis Expert.

While that may not be much, it does show I easily comboed the 32nd note drills while only missing one 8th note. Interesting...

Also, later on I came back and saw two people with USB keys playing as well. They hogged up the machine by inserting themselves two credits each so that way nobody else plays. I got pissed. The machine froze and I just decided to play DDR Extreme until they were off for a few seconds to rest and such. I got on and did Driven. Oh boy, did they not like what I did.

Needless to say, her high scores on there were possible, despite her bragging she could do good. Hehe.

So... I just wanted to share some interesting bits of playtime I had with ITG2. I did the 32nd note runs easily on Anubis when I haven't played it since... uh, April? And Driven I did exceptionally well until the end of Monolith. Also, that last dip is... uh, a freeze not holding. Not bad for not touching 4 panel in a few months.

Damn...close cpu...

I've got 88.65% on Driven Normal now...I haven't touched it in three months though...

What fucks me up every time is Monolith. If I knew the song more, I'd likely do better.

EDIT: I know -exactly- where you fucked up! Hahaha...and I don't fuck up there. Offset yourself an 8th note. It's an easy trick.
