ew...

Yea I dealt with that problem for the longest time. Had to bug the person that fixes the machines constantly for it.

Only got at 81% on Driven the other day after being off the machine for three months. I thought two back-to-back 9s were going to kill me. God...you really lose a lot after being off for a while.

We bug them all the time, but im still a little worried. When they said that the dedicab was being shipped to our arcade a while back, it took 3 months till it actually made it here :|

Oh it took me eight months for them to finally put in something that would've taken me 10 minutes at the most.

If it's Namco, I feel your pain.

I got fourth place in a DDR tournament today. Don't ask me how (I'm not being modest, I literally DON'T KNOW what scoring system they used to arrive at the results they did).

In any event, my prize was the new Linkin Park CD and some stickers. Um, yay?

Perfect/Marvelous attack?

Most of the tournies I've been to (never participated) do it that way.

A sane tournament would have done that. This was not a sane tournament.

It was cumulative for three songs. Cumulative what, I couldn't possibly tell you, though someone said Perfects+Greats+Goods (?!?), which I guess makes sense given the results.

Oh well. I'll take it either way.

Maybe they scored it something like 3 for a Perfect, 2 for Great, 1 for Good, 0 for anything else?

I'm not really sure. They'd be better off scoring it by DP for something like that.

Goddamn you Nobuo Uematsu.

See, I'm working on simming some stuff for my girlfriend's brother's birthday coming up. After the debacle which was my attempt at the American Gladiators theme, I decide "Okay, I'll do some video game stuff. That'll be easy, they'll all have one constant tempo which will eliminate most of my worries."

I get through a couple files like this with no problem--F-Zero Big Blue and Yoshi's Stage from Tetris Attack--...and then run into Zeromus from Final Fantasy IV. The song I mean.

Christ, this thing has a different tempo like every freakin' measure. The good news is that definable "1" points are a bit easier to come by here than they were for the AG theme, but that doesn't make it any less annoying.

I'm doing a sim of Zem myself. I was just wondering if you knew that it went at 1/12 beats the whole way through. I kept it at a good pace.

I'm quite sure you would have known of this. Otherwise, I can give you the mp3 I have. It stays at the same beat.

Hmm. Interesting. I just hear 4/4 the whole way through, except for some triplet stuff right near the end.

Oh well, either way, I think I have all the tempos I need now.

Speaking of him...I dropped The Extreme on BMS a short while ago.

Apparently, Bemanistyle is down.

EDIT: It's back up. Not one of my better charts for pad.

I tried the first one on keyboard.

I FAIL IT! MY SKILL IS NOT ENOUGH!

This tells me that I'm inherently unqualified to judge keyboard sims.

Not necessarily.

If they're doing overly-retarded uses of three-key+ (hands or quads), then it's likely to be poor.

If it's that plus off-sync, it's gtfo.

swr, played only Zeromus and it's not bad. I think you should get rid of the jacks, especially the double tap at the end. It's really not hard to slide your fingers as index and the way you did it here would alienate spread players.

I could probably AAA with ~20 if I wasn't tired.
