I started this at Trapster's suggestion to prevent more offtopic banter in the username thread.

So. I remember (obviously) the rise and fall of Shroomy Luigi Man, including his Checkered Shirt comic, I remember those silly comic strips Acmlm made with the typical bulbous nose and I remember introducing the term "aquatransexual" to describe Hiryuu/Rain. On that note, I also remember the first time "feliz naziwad" was used but not the exact reason behind it.

Pages taking forever to load, then scrolling about 100 pixels per 10 seconds, because I was on dialup on some really lousy computer.

I don't tend to remember people too well... especially since I didn't really take part in the community other than check out ROM hacks and stuff.

I remember orynider bashing in the SMW hacking forums, Stark as Kyouji "Kagami" Craw and Blisseh and the Little Fighter 2 avatar he used (at least I think it was one), Tomguy's mushroom layout, being trolled with a thread that suggested an SMW MMO (I took it seriously; the original posters didn't and apparently most people realized that), the Russianada fad, knuck and YD doing the BUDZ OF BRAZEEL OMG thing and them being all buddy-buddy with each other (along with knuck's pink username and very similar layout) making me think for quite a while that knuck was female, YD having or at least pretending to have an obsession with Naomi Watts (and several layouts themed on that), Gunbound and the rumours that Acmlm was neglecting the board because of playing it all the time (probably true)... Jesper and the Swede mafia... "the wootest"... hm. This association chain has potential to get very long if continued.

Oh yeah, that brings back memories.

Oh, and the whole thing where newbies kept thinking I was a girl, because I had my name in pink and with a female suffix. Seriously though, that started as a way to find my stuff easily in a relatively blue list.

And Acmlm totally did play too much Gunbound.

I remember just about everything blackhole listed in his post. I remember my first thread when I registered on the first incarnation of the board way back then. The thread title said "Hello people!".

My first layout was made by ChibiTaryn and had a Dragonball theme (Not DBZ, mind you). Red bg with white textbox, I believe and a kid-goku on the right.

I went through numerous name-changes. I made a bump in a half a year old thread.

I had gender-confusion with some people here (YD, Iggy Koopa/Lilina, not sure about Hiryuu).

How long ago was I1 anyway? Before '03? I remember being around 11 or 12 back when I originally registered, so I guess that means I've been involved in this community in one way or another for approximately 7 years.

Seven flippin' years... I can hardly believe it.

Apart from the fact I learnt a few things by looking at the archives (like the original purpose of certain things that are still here today)... I remember being hacked by Roger, like, three years ago. If I remember correctly only ONE staff person here was like "You know, maybe it's not like him to spam the board". But the rest of the staff voted to perma ban me, despite it. Yay!
