For the past three weeks, I've been working on a very special "project." And just today I finished the FIRST screen of the stage. It's just a small one level hack, but, I'm putting a lot of effort into it.
Take a guess on what the level is based off of. If you can't guess it, then I'll tell you. It's based off of the Robot Museum level from Megaman 7! It's been a PAIN trying to "convert" SNES graphics to 8-bit. Lets take the Mettaur bushes for example. I tried to to "8-bitify" it, but it just never looked right. So, I just simply made them a little detail in the wall. Don't get me started on the CHR bank. It took one, YES ONE! whole CHR bank JUST for this screen! AUGH! The only saving grace is that this simply is just a "remake" of the Robot Museum, so I can use the other level's CHR banks. The boss from the original Robot Museum isn't going to be in this stage. (As a boss anyway) I have NO experience in sprites / AI so making this dude work would be a PAIN! Maybe in the future tho... There's going to be a LOT more in this level then the original Robot Museum tho. I have LOTS of ideas that I perfected, and are going to implemented in this stage. When I'm finished, I'll upload a IPS patch for you guys so download. But now on to my final question... What do you guys think? Does the screen shot of the first screen look good? Do the colors look good? Do the graphics look like there SNES counter part? Any feed back would be appreciated. |

It does look pretty good! You might want to give the roader in the top right that light blue color for its eyes though, and maybe considering adding a little wall to the top of the black segment so it doesn't look weird. But those are just nitpicks, it looks great so far. |

Posted by 32x1000 If the offer is still relevant, I'd like to say yes! These days I'm much more into music, than any other part of a game. That is if I can get some documents about the music format, but that shouldn't be that difficult to figure out, thanks to my experience with the MM3 engine. One thing you should note though, is that my music isn't much like Megaman music, anyway, here's some examples I'm planning to use in my own hack eventually. (With DPCM samples hacked in) NSF |

Posted by za909 Can you compose music for my MM2 hack? But just conversions of songs from other MM games, like other hacks do it. But can someone help me? I want to make it so that Bubble Man's boss room doesn't immedietely turn all air into water, but I can seem to find any ASM relating to it. Help? |

Posted by Gavzilla1000 Would like to know, too. That would be very useful for my MM3 hack. The chat talks, which Kuja linked, weren't much of an help sadly. It was such a mess... |

Does anybody know where the offsets for the palettes in Mega Man 6?
I can't find them with hex search on hex editors! Are the palettes for this game compressed? ____________________ |

Just thought I'd show you guys: rock5easily has put up a download for rm5YH. Here's a vid of one of the Wily stages, more vids are on his page. There's a link to an ips in the description.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUL2ZVh6lGg I've only played a bit so far; the Star Man fight is pretty interesting. I might have to record a playthrough! |

That's pretty easy to figure out, I THINK! If I do a quick CDL on my FCEUX Emulator, I can probably find the hex number of 11 and change it. If the text is based on TSA's like Mega Man IV or V, then it's also possible. AND if the text uses the existing rom offset, you can probably move the text rom offset into an empty space by changing it's LDA pointer. |

dang i would hope you out but i really dont think i can.
MegaFLE doesnt support "scene screen" editing for mm6, so i cant tell if it's regular normal level data like megaman 3-5... or seperate text drawing strings. I tried last night but i had no idea how to edit the settings a few bytes to the left of "push start". I did not see any kind of similiarities to mm3-5's methods. |

My FCEUX Hex editor may figure it out with a RAM searcher. So it's based on TSA Solidity like with Mega Man 1. Each level has 4 TSA block settings per stage. So when Bubble Man comes in, he can turn air into water for battle. I wonder if Bubble Man can turn SPIKES for battle. Now that would be a laughter.
Tonight or Tomorrow, I may be able to help you out and give you the ROM Offset for it. It should be 1 byte of a code with a TSA ram offset. |

Yeah that's the problem.
It's supposed to be RAM $34 at hex 04 which is water but I guess the data is different. I think Rockman 2 Gensokyo disabled the water setting when Reimu is battled. |

Does anybody know how to replace the letters in the weapons menu in MM3? I've replaced Rush with Tango and I would like to change the letters RC, RM, RJ with TC, TM, TJ in the weapons menu. ____________________ |
