When I first went on IRC, I was confused by the abbreviation "AFK" even though I knew its meaning (someone is away from their computer). So I thought maybe it was "Away From Komputer" and the K in komputer was some kind of obscure joke. |

Same with me. I couldn't guess what the K stood for, but I knew what it meant. I didn't really try to guess though. |

When I first heard that in order to have a baby, you had to put your penis in a girl's ass. I thought, "That sounds really gross. Why do men go pee in a woman's butt?"
Then the first time I saw porn I was confused. I laughed at the ladies taking cumshots because the "milk" coming out of the man's penis was alien to me and at the age of 9, I laughed at naked people. |

Yeah, I had no clue about sex or female anatomy. I thought sperm flew through the air from the penis into the vagina, which I thought was located in the butt. I also thought sperm were just these barely visible flying specks, no seminal fluid or anything. |

I also couldn't understand "LMAO" or "ROFL" when I saw them on the Internet... |

I actually knew some of the common acronyms like LOL and BRB (I had this book on the Internet that we got in 1996 when we first got Internet, after which we moved and didn't have it for a while), but I was puzzled by 1337, 1337-speak, w00t, All your base are belong to us, and such. |

I thought "All your base are belong to us" was just a weird made-up saying, too. |

I remember All Your Base when it was brand new, but I was too young to get why it was funny. |

I was never too young to get AYB (look at my profile and do the math), but as a child, I didn't truly appreciate video game Engrish because clumsy translations and terse text were common back in the day. I remember my cousin playing Pro Wrestling. I don't recall laughing at "A Winner is You". And I thought the infamous Strider threat - "You will be sent to your grave by me Mr. Kain" - was a chilling line.
When I was three, I asked my parents where babies came from. Their answer: people hugging naked. I learned to read quite early on. At four, I read the family medical book and found out what sex was. It seemed gross and strange at the time. |
