As to the Missile exploding, I'm going to guess you haven't set Extra Parameter 8 yet so it's defaulting to 0 (instant destruction). To use Extra Parameters effectively, you need to set values to quite a number of them, in the case of Missiles Extra Parameter 8 is vital as it controls the lifespan of a Missile. When Extra Parameter 1 is 0, it will not accept any other Extra Parameters and it defaults to the Missile's in-game settings. Any other values than 1 means you are committed to using other Extra Parameters. If you did set Extra Parameter 8 to a value, then there may be a problem. I suggest setting it to 30-50 as a test. I also suggest changing Extra Parameters 2 and 3 to control the speed of the Missile.
