That was a good boss.
It was fairly challenging, and kept me on my toes as the fight progressed. The bullet patterns were great. I can't think of much else to say at the moment. ____________________ Fraxy Creations Youtube Channel |

Wow. Very impressive. But it probably shouldn't be set to die at 25% health left. :\ |

Posted by PureQuestion I tried to make him die at 0%, but it was all glitchy and stuff. I probably should've opted to hide the health bar. To keep up ze illusion! ____________________ --Bluhman-- |

You could've gone with something like 1%, it probably wouldn't be noticeable at that point (maybe?). ____________________ |

Posted by NightKevNot really, no. I originally went with that if I needed an event to occur "at death". Now I just go with durability being below 100-150. |

Thing is, most of the cores seemed to have a grace period during which the core is blowing up to perform last-minute events. With the Small Core, though, there is no explosion period; the thing just blows up.
Setting the event to run at very low health values would not work that well; it would be very easy for something like, say, a charge blaster, to push the health value over the edge and flat out kill the target without the proper event actually running. ____________________ --Bluhman-- |

Well, there is one method you could use that definitely would work. I know someone made all the parts invulnerable, then used events to take health away from them. It was for appearances' sake, but if you had the events not let more than X damage be done at once, then all you have to do is make the destruction event condition "If [Health] < [X+1]", and at that point it turns off all the damage-dealing events and initiates the "yay victoly" ones. The core/parts will never get below 1 health this way. It might be a bit more effort this way, but since we don't really know the exact values of the strongest possible player weapon (the damage values might change between ship types even), it's currently the only surefire method (that I know of). ____________________ |

The 'Quick' boss ship is getting an upgrade. Expect an upload tomorrow. ____________________ --Bluhman-- |
