Has the same problem of a previously posted layout where you get very few horizontal space on low screen resolutions, but otherwise it's fine. Nice darker and darker quote pyramid.

However, there's a problem when your post is long: there's nothing but bland blue in the post area, and the picture, located at the bottom, directs your eyes there.

It SHOULD work fine on anything that's 1024x768 and up, shouldn't it?

This layout looks great. This is definitely better that what I could ever do concerning layouts and such. Nice theme. But I just saw your post in the Mafia game, and it's not even higher than the thing Mega-Mario screen shot. On IE, that is. I should've known that.

I was talking more generally. Just meant that vertical benches don't make sense. Mostly because people don't sit down vertically

Also, zbyte, you have a nice background picture for his layout, too bad it is badly positioned and people only see a small part of it... that's surely not hard to fix! Unless it's being done on purpose.

Yeah, but 3% of web users and me still are with 800x600, I think you have some wasted space on the sides:


(I failed because the ellipse on the left eats a bit of the bench but you get the idea.)

But it's just me, literally (even though, to me that's just as bad as a huge mushroom using that space *cough*.)

No, it's that I like looking at big images, and they look considerable smaller in a higher resolution. If there was plugin that made Firefox images 1.28 times bigger I would put it on and switch to 1024x768 without problems (but what would be the point anyway?)

That's right. If you're in a higher resolution, images will be smaller propoptionally to your monitor. Now, if your new monitor has its pixels sized exactly like the old one, the images are actually the exact same size as before. It's just that you see more stuff around those images.

The images look bigger than in the old monitor, and I like it, and I have no problems whatsoever, other than sites, software and layouts that are unfriendly with my resolution, normally I just avoid them, but since we don't have a block layout feature, I can't do that in this case.

EDIT - Oh, see, NightKev agrees with me that there's too much space wasted regardless of resolution.
