Many other forums have this feature, and it's nice.
You just have to look in your email inbox and you see whether you've got replies into threads you suscribed to, without having to check the board's forums. Of course, this requires you to give a valid email address. But I guess that checking if the user entered an email address in his profile is easy, but checking whether the email address is actually valid may be harder... This is the kind of function I've always hated the actual function of. The premise is nice, but it really shouldn't use email - instead, a little thing on the front page listing the threads you've subscribed to that have new posts, shit like that. ____________________ we're currently experiencing some technical difficulties |
