Has anyone else played this game? It's not much like any other Wario game but I think it's pretty good. The storyline takes a few minutes to get good and the controls are weird at first but after that It's a great game. It's not like any other Wario game (except for the fact that you have a life meter like in Wario Land 4 and the obvious fact that Wario is in search of as much treasure as he can get his hands on). It has very unique gameplay because of the way it uses the touch screen. The main boss sort of reminds me of Dr. Eggman because of the way he uses robots to try to stop Wario in his path (although as the story unfolds other bosses will come into play that don't use robots). Would I recomend buying this game? Yes because I feel it uses the DS touch screen well which makes the game fun to play and has a good story line to go with it. Does anyone else have this game?

I've been thinking of getting this game. I always liked the Wario Land series, especially the fourth one.

Using the touchscreen to draw costumes sounds interesting from what I have read in a Nintendo Power article. It's nice to have all the disguises available to you anytime you want unlike in the previous Wario games where you had to rely on an enemy to transform into something. Those were also temporarily as well.

If its anything like Wario Land 3 and 4 in length and fun (and not gimmicky), then I will totally buy this. I personally do not enjoy his new look (WarioWare) over the old one. It was just so kickass.

Yeah, the 4th one had something special that made me drawn to it aswell. I don´t know if I´ll get this game but it looks interesting.

I don´t like using the stylus too much, though. I hope you don´t have to use it too much at the same time you´re moving Wario.

You do have to use the stylus quite a bit but it's not that bad. The normal controls have been changed to make it better. If you are right handed you use the control pad to move and if you are left handed you use the buttons on the right to move. Up is jump and left and right obviously move Wario left and right. Touching the screen performs attacks depending on what disguise you are wearing. Some of you are probably thinking WTF right now but I don't find it difficult at all and I actually kind of like it.

Personally I didn't care for the 4th one very much...and I know its probably just me. The first two games were great as it gave Wario his own setting, his own location and even his own cast. The third one took a temporary break from that placing him in the world of a music box. 4 completely goes against the storyline of the old Gameboy games in general and really messes things up...and Wario World, forget it ;x

I personally think its sad that we'll never see Captain Syrup (seriously, one of the coolest Mario villains EVER) or the Spear Guys again, and I can only assume that this new game has no mention of them...nor does it take place on Kitchen Island or anywhere even remotely near the Wario universe...eh, I might give it a try. I just wish that the Wario series hadn't changed its maingame storyline so...drastically ;\

The first 2 games were good. I guess captain Syrup never landed after Wario booted her out of Syrup Castle in Wario Land 2. Virtual Boy Wario Land was made in between Wario Land 1 and 2 and it has no mention of Captain Syrup or Kitchen Island although I really liked it because of the hat power up system and hidden treasures.

Wario Master of Disguise has it's own characters that fit the story well so I wouldn't turn it down because of the setting.

I heard it is very suck because the gameplay can be clumsy and it doesn't share enough with the previous titles to make it good. Saw the review on the 1up show.

I wouldn't turn it down simply because of the setting, don't get me wrong...just yeah, I can't say I was all too fond with the direction the series went in past 4, but there's no chance I can say I won't like the game without having played it. So we'll have to see, of course.

Hmm..this game interests me, but I will fully admit that I wasn't keen on Wario Land 4 at all. I never played 3, but I loved 1 and 2.

Which of the earlier Wario games does the game most feel like?

Probably Wario Land 4 because of the Life Gauge (Hearts) but that is probably the only reason. I didn't really think it felt like any of the Wario Land games to much because this game as extremely different gameplay and the disguise system.
