Well what's this? That's pretty much all the progress I've been able to made since January 09... It pretty much started like this:
At first I simply wanted to have cars then slowly I kept on adding new things such as roads, buildings and sprites:   
But then it wasn't enough, it had to be the followup to an older hack... So thanks to MathOnNapkins the choice was quite simple but efficient: 
Althrough, not inserted into the rom yet.. since I might change it and I hate editing title screens so yeah :/ Anyway, here's previously shown screens, mostly what you'll see while you play it but since playing and seeing isn't the same thing I'll let you guys/gals be the judge of the good- bad- and ugly- of the hack per see.

Is there any specific LttP ROM this should be patched to? A Goodset name would be great.

To offset the broken mess above, here's what I think of the hack so far. The tileset edits so far are great and most of the city makes good use of it, but the whole broken door problem really bites. There were also some places where I would get stuck in the water, but this is probably just because of unfinished maps. The Stargate looked even better when animated, and Chief got confused by the Dark World theme playing at the start. That is actually a good thing, because I like it when Chief is confused.
If there's one thing I don't like about it that's not caused by the WIP state, it's the relative lack of color -- almost all the cars are the same, for example. What do you mean about the broken door? That they don't open when you exit them (and show off somewhere else) or their appearance? If it's the first then those will be fixed in hex only when all entrances will be set.
And yeah let's say I didn't put borders between finished/unfinished places... About the lack of colors I'm aware of that. I plan to have as many types of vehicles as possible along with their suiting palettes... that's the same problem I have with buildings actually, they all look like they were all made by the same builders. ____________________ http://parallelsequel.wordpress.com/ |

I was actually referring to the "can't get back out" problem you mentioned in the OP. Seph, what happen your hack? Title of zelda look awful. It like mess up and when I played, look bad. Or just emulator problem? I use both zsnes and snesx9. both bad. Please let me know full fix bug or something. Send me email when you done. bdotson_x@yahoo.com

That's not a bug, it's just that I haven't reorganized the title screen yet... I only inserted the tiles and edited the palettes but did not bother further. It's not a full game yet, only a glimpse of what I'm about to do. ____________________ http://parallelsequel.wordpress.com/ |

It's too bad I can't play it. Even in my office with my Flash Drive attached. My desktop's computer is fried so I won't be able to play anything until I got it fixed.

Advice to bradzx / bdotson
Don't ask / tell the hacker: -to finish the hack -when the hack will be done -that you want an update -that his hack is bugged (despite the fact that it may be so) -that his hack is bad -that he should change the hack -that his hack is bugged (when it's not) and that you want update fixes (patch to the correct rom first, or use the proper emulator) You don't have to glory the hack either, stay neutral. It is enough to respect the hackers work, nothing else is necessary. Oh, and don't renew old post with questions. I'm sure SePH will finish the game, when he can. And if this is years away, we have to respect that. (Plus, a lot is done already). |
