You said that you got a beta version of Lazy Shell 2.1 right? How does it look so far? Do you think it might be released soon or does it have bugs that still need to be worked out?

With regards to Lazy Shell v.2.1. What I got is an unofficial build and the one that hasn't been developed yet. It's quiet good already, it has an animation editor, an ability to view item and spell descriptions, and more. But I'll leave it up to the authors to disclose further info.

Bug has been fixed..

-Text issues
-Super Star Crash
-Map/NPC Corruption
-Invisible NPCs

It took me a day to evaluate the scripts, darn ASM. As for the Invisible Star, I have no choice but to criplle some of its effects like xp gaining. The Super Star will only make Mario glow, and kill the bad guys, but it won't gain you any more xp. You have to fight the baddies to level up. I have to do this to override the bug that keeps on persisting.

Wow, looks awesome! I love the classical Mario music death thing.
Anyway, if you're still looking for level ideas, what about a ghost house type level? I planned on doing that in my hack but I don't see why you can't too.

I was going to add it on Super Mario RPG Expansion (the hack that I delegated to philosophia), however, due to lack of event script space, it was canceled. But, now that I am in control of the scripts. I think it wouldn't be such a bad idea.

SMRPGX TC will have a Ghost House and a Sunken Ghost Ship level.

Whoa.. awesome! So somebody already made it.

I am thinking of using Mallows sprite to contain it. Unfortunately, Geno would still be in the game running under the name Gabriel.

I'll recalculate the bytes the compressed graphics consume, and see if it can be added.

I've had that same problem with the rangers. I practically have to come up with those animations by myself.
Most of the time I just have the ranger mimic what his corresponding character does. I take a look at Mario's sprite molds where he pulls out an item and redo it to make it look like axem red pulling out an item. To do this I usually have two copies of lazy shell out, one just to look at as a reference.
Trust me, it gets easier with practice.

Unfortunately, that's not quiet the same with Luigi and Wario. The extra height and weight means consumption of extra space. Mario and the Axem Rangers are pretty much the same in terms of width and height. But, anyway, I'll see what I can do.

Yeah, but it really took me 2 days to just figure it out. lol.

I should also warn you of the Lazy Shell sprite editor bug. Because of this, my hard work was thrown away many times. Sometimes LS miscalculates the offsets and corrupts the animation.

Oh, believe me I know about the sprite corruption. I had to start over once before because a bunch of my Red sprites got messed up. But I learned from that and now I keep plenty of backups just in case.

I'm afraid this isn't possible shad. The number of animations that can be added appears to be limited. The animation I use for Wario was actually from Peach. Adding new animations will cause the sprites to go fuzzy.

Maybe, once I finish this hack and proceed with RPG Maker, I would be able to grant your request.
