I totally have a substitute English teacher today, and he looks exactly like Peter_ac. I compared him to a 2-3 year old picture of him with a friend, and I swear they look exactly alike. Funny thing is, the teachers last name is Pac. Mr. Pac.

It's silly I know, but could it be him? I mean, sure he says he lives in Ireland, but it's his fucking doppleganger!

Anyone here ever seen someone whom they thought was from the board? This is my first experiance in this oddity...

Ask him if he likes yellow dots

But no, I haven't. It can also be partially blamed on the fact I never, ever, ever look at board photos.

You know, I thought this thread would have something to do with Pac-Man.

I never saw any Acmlmers in real life, nor have I though I saw them. I don't think there are too many in Michigan. (Don't go here. There's no economy, and even the cities are full of rampaging bands of vicious rednecks.)

Well, at Skate World I saw someone who looked almost exactly like my friend Brandon, literally, was filipino, too, but was just a little taller and a little less muscular =/

At college, I occasionally see people who I think look like certain users here.

I think I have Majora's Mask syndrome. Basically, I've seen a lot of 'random people' who are anonymous, and I keep thinking I'm seeing certain looks over and over. Like, a completely different person, but he looks REALLY familiar, like one of the anonymous people I know at school. So basically, I think the character models for some the anonymous people I see are being recycled. And some of them are being recycled from people I actually know, or otherwise are non-anonymous, like you guys.

Stack overflow. Program must be terminated.

I thought a girl in Biology was Danielle at one point.

There's also a kid in Woodshop that looks like a 14-15 year-old rendition of Xk.

The other day it popped into my head that some kid in my programming class was Drag. I have no logical reason to believe this is true. I don't even know where that thought came from. Oh well.

So it's not just me then? I've never been able to explain it very well, but you hit the nail on the head, perfect analogy too Er, that is to say, I experience that too

As for having seen look-alikes, I had a waiter that looked like Acmlm once, I thought it was humorous in the least (since it obviously wasn't him ;x)

I think we all get that. At least I know I do. There are certain "categories" people fall into. It's weird really, but definitely there.

I don't know anyone here in real life, but I saw on the ABII Guestmap that was made that two people are close to me (within Fairfax County, VA or right next to it.) Someone was in Herndon I believe. I'm over near Fairfax Station, VA. Only 20 minutes away from DC.

(Wooh! 100 posts! *ahem* Excuse me. )

The above posts explain the reason that science/engineering majors need to take psychology.
That people can't explain phenomena and instead use analogs and other such indirect wording seems a bit absurd, and I always feel as though people do it just to annoy me, e.g. using "rate of change in population over time" instead of "population growth/decay." Mind you, it's usually English stuffs.
The word in this case, that I believe that is fitting, would be "archetype." I would doubt the occurrence of a SamuraiX archetype though. I'm insane unique.

I've always wanted to meet someone from the board. I think the person I have the most chance of finding is HyperHacker because he lives in Ontario as far as I know (but even then that still leaves an entire province that he could be in). I'll probably never see anyone.

I know there's been talk of setting up an AcmlmExpo in the past, but it's never gone anywhere. Even if one miraculously happened, I know it wouldn't be anywhere around here, and I can't exactly afford traveling great distances to meet some people. So unless I move, or become rich, my chances of meeting someone from the board are almost zero. The only person who lives relatively close to me is misterj, who lives about an hour and a half from me.

An Acmlm expo would be cool, but I guess it'd be tough to find a time when people are off school/work and a place where not everyone has to go a long distance. I know some other boards have done it though.

I'm pretty damn sure that it's not Pac I live about 1 or 2 miles from him, and he's in class now (or on his way home) as I'm posting this. Sooooooo, the chances of your substitute teacher being him is, ummm, not good
