Assuming it works as promised, the creepiest moments for its users are going to be those of reflection. Surely, there must be something suicide-inducing about the realization that you were just successfully comforted by a huge pulsating robotic slime mold.

I think exploiting the knowledge probably crosses the line even for most of those who understand quite well that our emotions, too, are just reflexes to reproducible stimuli.

Though I agree wholeheartedly with you, Black, I'm not sure a Tomato In The Mirror is the right trope for that. In fact, I'm not entirely sure any tomato trope would fit...

Anyway, I watched the whole thing and was somewhat creeped out by the idea that it's played dead serious.

I understand the idea behind it or the drive to be able to "snuggle" against something.

...but it's kinda creepy with it not having any kind of shape and looking like something from a bad hentai-movie.
