Hi all,

I have an idea for a beat-em up game that I wanted to make and I'm trying to find an engine I can use. I know Game Maker is one of them but I want to use an engine that I never used before. If there isn't any, for anybody that uses Game Maker, is there a Beat-Em Up example that I could use?

Use openbor, this engine it's excellent to create side scrolling beat em’ ups and it's also capable of replicating Shumps, RPGs and platformers!

Here some games that were created with this engine

Hello, Metal64. Thank you for your post, but next time, please check the date of the last post before you post in an old topic, and in this case, the last activity of the member who started the thread in question, and who you're responding to. Nintendude88 hasn't been active here since December 2011. Unfortunately, there's not much of a chance that he'll see your post, though it's possible that the information will be valuable to other members and possibly him, if he ever sees this post, and is still interested in creating a beat 'em up game years later, if he hasn't already.

Again, you provided helpful and meaningful information, but you bumped a thread started over 6 years ago. The original intention of its creation may no longer be relevant. Please keep an eye out for such potential situations next time. Thank you.

This topic is closed to prevent potential bumping in the future. If Nintendude88 returns and would like it reopened, and/or there may be anyone else who could benefit from this thread being reopened in the future, please send a PM to a staff member to request that it be reopened. Thank you.
