I do, but I recall Geno's layout had that problem, and I wasn't the only one not seeing his background (we even got a "I can't read Geno's layout" userbar fad going).

what sort of "antipiracy disaster" are you talking about?
I was out on Route 29, near the edge of Cherrygrove, levelling a Rattata I had caught to be about the same level as my Totodile, who was Lv.8 by then, before moving up to Falkner. I made a save state at the beginning of a battle with a wild Lv.4 Hoothoot, Rattata being at Lv.5 by then. However, ending the battle (be it Run Away or defeat), ends in a black screen and a hung ~~Desumeme~~ DeSmuME. I have a savegame, but that's from before I spent all that time levelling Rattata from Lv.2.

It's rather... bleh. A cheat or two to disable the AP measures would be appreciated, especially if it'll work in the middle of a fight.

I'm having fun writing scripts for it, so all that's left is drawing the actual comics. I've got three comics scripted that form a whole trilogy of sorts, and introduce Cynthia and KP9000.
