I made a Firefox Persona based on the "Nostalgia" theme currently on board2.

Here's the direct link to it.

It looks very mellow and easy to read when installed. I had a darker version up, but it was too hard on the eyes and didn't mix well with the icons on the bookmarks toolbar.

It's a nice persona, it could do with like a few tweeks, like making the opacity for tabs higher, if that's something you can control.

Naw, don't really have that kind of control over it. It basically only gives you the option of adding the images and specifying font color. That's all.

I still think it looks great considering how few my options were.

I would use it if Firefox didn't make my computer run slower than a paraplegic snail.

Mind putting up a proper screencap?

I shall use it just for the sake of getting in my once-every-three-months post.

Geno your layout is bad. Get a semitransparent PNG for the background of your post table. Seriously.

Also I don't use Firefox 3. :V

I like the mozilla firefox because of It is having lots of addons. It is very useful and It is increasing our efficiency. You can do the many things. You can download the videos, online pdf converter, noscript for the disable spam or some vulnerable scripts.Current Addons: Personas,WOT,Ad Block Plus,Echofon,Webmail Notifier,Lazarus,AVG Safe Search,Skipscreen etc.......

Mind if I poke the newcomer?

Hey Neil, did you know that a frightening amount of addons you've listed are included standard in Opera?

On the flip side, I recently got word of a Firefox addon that imitates Opera's sidebar. I have no idea what to think of that.

One more reason for me not to use Opera then. The frightening majority of addons he listed sounds like something I'd almost pay money not to crap my HD and browsing experience up with.

On the flipside, does Opera have equivalents for ANeC, DownThemAll, Perapera-kun, Firebug and Modify Headers at all?

Perhaps if you listed their actual functions?

One important thing to mind is that out of the box, there are no menu items or whatever to signify there is an IRC client, feed reader, mail client or BitTorrent. There's only one item in Tools, "Mail and Chat accounts". Set up a mail account there and only then will the Mail menu appear. Same deal with the IRC client, and the torrent client is the same thing as the regular downloader. So until you actually start to use these functions, you don't get the extra UI parts.

Firefox was made to combat the feature creep the Mozilla suite browser was plagued by. So there's a good reason why 452452 tools isn't included by default.

And then there's browsers like Chrome who goes even further.

Menu items aren't exactly my concern. The problem more is that it would land on my HD and be loaded with the browser.

ANeC provides an interface to add and modify cookies.
Perapera-kun is a hover-based dictionary for Japanese and Chinese which is vastly useful.
DownThemAll is a download manager with the added function of being able to automatically download a filtered subset of all links on a page.
Firebug is... Firebug.
Modify Headers allows you to edit/add/remove the HTTP headers in requests.

Cookie editor: built in.
Dictionary: not included, but a Widget is probably available. Here's one for Chinese at least.
Mass downloader: Links sidepanel, supports multiselect. Then pick Save, Save to Download Folder. Can't believe I didn't find out until now...
Firebug: Dragonfly
Headers: Couldn't find it. You can at the very least edit the UA string, I know that much.

Edit: about the mass downloader, you might want to use the included search box to filter on the kind of file you want.

I would use your persona, KP, but it's a bit too lightly colored for my liking.
