Last Friday, I finished the game Persona 3. It was a spectacular game. I loved the story, the characters (well, the characters they wanted you to love, anyway), and the gameplay itself. It also has the most perfect ending. I put in somewhere between 85 and 90 hours, and it was all worth it. I highly recommend playing this if you haven't already.

Now, have any of you played this? If so, what did you think of it? If not, have you even heard of it before now? Have you played any of the other Persona games, or Shin Megami Tensei games in general?

The game store around the corner from my apartment has 3 copies of Persona 3 for $30+ USED... I want to play it, but I'm not particularly keen on dishing out that much cash.

That same store has a copy of Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne (New) for $50 and Persona 4 (Used) for $45, again not wanting to shell out that much.

I've watched my old roommate play P4, but that's about it. I've played the MMO Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine on Aeria Games, but the overwhelming number of douchebags that played it made me quit before getting much of anything accomplished.

Imagine plays NOTHING like Persona. The only similarities would be spell names and the Shin Megami Tensei name. Same goes for Nocturne.

I'd say $30 is TOTALLY worth it. Especially if it's FES, which is the kinda special edition, which has extra features, including an extra 30+ hour epilogue. Beware, though, the epilogue (called "The Answer") is WAY more difficult than the original game (called "The Journey"). It's a really tough to find game, and a very, very good one at that, so the $30 pricetag is understandable.
