For those who didn't know, there's confirmation that another Golden Sun is soon to be released! You can search for videos of it on Youtube.

I was already discussing part of it in another conversation, so maybe this isn't the best way to start it off...

Due to djinn being essentially infinitely reusable, I was able to keep my HP/PP up, summoning when enough djinn had been used, etc. Plus I had a party setup that wasn't "9 Venus djinn on Felix / 9 Mars Djinn / etc", iirc Felix was a Ronin and I don't remember the rest of the classes. Also being able to swap party members was a huge help for even MORE djinn madness.

I've tried that and I wasn't successful against Dullahan. Formina Sage usually OHKO'd me, True Collide gave him quite a bit of health, and Djinn Storm was party rape. From what I remembering reading, he uses Djinn Storm and Charon when certain event rise, so I suppose you could manipulate that... or use Bind to seal his Psynergy.

I usually used...

Isaac as a Master (very fast, Death Leap and Annihilation were powerful, overall great stats)
Jenna as a Justice (Cool Aura was cheap and still healed 400 HP, Searing Beam to clear large groups)
Ivan as a Necromage (Call Dullahan was overwhelmingly powerful, plus he had Revive)
Piers or Mia as a Wizard depending on the situation (had Bind, Wish Well, Impact and good offensive Psynergy)

Isaac had either Excalibur or Sol Blade, Jenna had a Masamune, Ivan used Tisiphone Edge and Piers had a Dark Sword while Mia used Atropos' Rod. Most of them also had equipment that healed 12 PP each turn and Isaac had a Spirit Ring in case I need a quick emergency.

Looking back on it, I probably should have made Isaac a Ronin instead or had been better prepared for Djinn, but meh...

Now that I'm talking about Golden Sun, I really want to play it again. Definitely one of my favourite RPGs, and in line with Fire Emblem and Mega Man Zero games, my favourites on the GBA.

Indeed it's a great game. I've borrowed Golden Sun: The Lost Age from my cousin since a long time ago but I forgot to enter the gold code when I started. I'm currently using an RNG method (look it up on gamefaqs) to make enemies drop rare equips.

Star Magician was hell to beat.

I'm well aware of the RNG manipulation; killing Wonder Birds (~8000 exp/kill) with its weakness yields even more experience, as well as a possible drop for Dark Matters, or getting Orihalcum from Wyverns, which you won't be to do since you don't have all of the Djinn. =[

Star Magician was fun for me, though a long battle. Once you have him summon only Thunder Balls, the battle's mostly in your hands. Valukar is a lot stronger than Star Magician but fights alone so he may be easier or harder depending on how you fight. Sentinel's like a much harder version of Deadbeard from GS1; Psynergy has no effect on him at all. Good luck fighting those two! XP
