I was randomly slowing music down on Nero player ( I was really bored ). And I noticed that if you slow any song down by about 1/3 to 1/2 that it sounds like porn music?
I know some of you are most likely going to say, well Duuuuh! But just think about this next time you get bored and decide to slow some music down, or if you're into it the next time you watch a porn (purpose of internet) Anyways. . .Discuss |

I don't use that specific player, but... I tried slowing down a metal song once in some kind of sound editor. It didn't sound like porn music, just a really slow metal song.
Heh, I played around quite a bit with that sound editor. Mixing parts of various songs and sound files (some with speech, and other weird sounds) together, reversing, changing speed, frequency, and whatnot, and the result was kind of trippy in and eerie sort of way. (I didn't discover any satanic messages, though, like I had hoped. ) I also tried making medleys of certain albums, but it never worked out quite well... And combining albums even less so, because of different recording qualities between them. ____________________ Damage done. |

I slowed down "Stayin' Alive" to make fun, and it sounded REALLY weird. And catchy too... |

I used to have fun with that old 1998 DSP plugin for WinAMP that let you change the pitch of the song in real-time. Animaniacs stuff slowed down sounds normal |

Honestly, I've done this in Stepmania for a song called 2000BPM (which, guess what the rate was there).
It sounded exactly that when dropped to .3x rate. Then again, most pr0n music is about slow tempo around 80 or so beats. |

If I wanted that, I'd be watching Alvin and the Chipmunks every hour on the hour.
I mean shoot, it's bad enough with most Japanese seiyuu as is. The 'cute' ones that is. |

I like to slow down and speed up songs to pick apart how they are made. And also to generate ideas on how one would make a remix. :p |

I don't know, depending on the song you could easily get the effect you're talking about.. but it hardly applies to ALL music, and certainly not with most genres of music. Sooo.. yea.. |

Some songs sounds intresting when they're speed up or slow down, or even played backwards.
Yeah, I like playing with the music I listen to. There's actually songs where I almost prefer it being slowed down... ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org
