Not to sound dumb, but I wasn't aware of the existence of Goombella. So my previous statement was probably wrong. Mario does always stomp the Goombas he meets.

Goombella wasn't pink at all.

Also, Goombella was a party member, you loon. Paper Mario is a platform RPG type thing.

As previously stated, Gombella was a party member in Paper Mario TTYD, thus Mario did not stomp on her as they were allies. There is also Goombario, from the first PM, another goomba ally.
