I don't have many subscribers on MySpace. First time making a thread like this.

This is my cat. Her name is Bebe

This is my cat and her name is Bebe. We took her to the ASPCA today because she is getting fatter and fatter, eating little by little, drinking water frequently, and couldn't barely poop as much. I don't know what the cause.

Until my doctors found out that she had lot of food in the belly and could be cancer or a kidney failure. They couldn't find a damn cure for it and even if I have unlimited income, they can't cure it. So me and my Twin brother decided that we should left her to die or to sleep. Even if bring her back home, she will continue to suffer. As my decision goes, I didn't have a choice.

That really upsets me and when I told my 12 year old sister. She is REALLY upset.

That really hurts me on this day and I'm still not over it.

Well, any terminal health issue that an animal has should be taken care of in the most humane way. I don't want to think what would happen to that cat if she weren't euthanized.

Dealing with loss isn't something I've come to terms with just yet. I have a 12-year old dog and she's getting near to the end of her life. I don't know how I'll react when she finally passes.

I know euthanasia is not cheap, but it's humane and I encourage you to pursue this for the cat's sake. It's a difficult decision, but considering the options, it's something I would do for a pet if they came across a terminal illness.

I can't fully relate with you just yet o this matter since I haven't really dealt with the loss of a pet before, so my feelings go out to you. Good luck.

I know your pain, when I took my dog Cyprus to the vet she told me that Cyprus wasn't gonna last two weeks cause she had advance cancer. Don't worry the pain'll pass with time. It coasted about $150 to put her to sleep, if the vet tells you to stay and watch you don't have to.

Euthanasia is painless to an animal, it'll make 'em feel sleepy. So you don't have to worry about an animal suffering, trust me on this one Insectduel it'll be all right.

The first cat that I bought on my own died of liver failure. She was so young too.

I grew up with cats and all of the ones that I grew up with (13 in total) have all past away.

It's always sad to lose any pet, but hold on to the good memories that you had together.

Aww I'm really sorry to hear that.. your cat looks a lot like mine. I dealt with loss once before, my pet parrot got scared and hit its head on the wall, and one week later, it passed on. it was only less than a year old too i think.

i sort of want to make a snippy remark about feline healthcare...

--however cancer sort of sucks, but it can be treated if you can afford radiation treatment and you probably want to get your cat on some dosage of painkillers if they're suffering. gamma knife treatment would be the least invasive i think but because of the lovely healthcare system in the US (and the state of research i guess) i'm not sure how widespread it would be. depending on where the tumor is, surgery may or may not be a terrible idea, since it opens up a slew of potential problems.

depending on how far the cancer has progressed you might really want to just make sure your pet isn't suffering, it'll be a lot easier on you and your family that way.

but yeah, if you can afford it, try to get a second (or even third) opinion and talk to them about stuff like radiation treatment or surgery (if it's cancer). i don't know much about kidney/liver failure so good luck with that.

Do you two guys realize Gamma's post was almost a year old bump? You're a bit late with the suggestions.

I'd make a snippy remark about Gamma's parrot, but that was a good time back as well so yeah.

Do you realize that there were no "two guys" unless you count yourself?
