Yeah, and? Is this real, is it a shop of what it could be like?
Regardless, isn't this about SMW, not SMB? ____________________ Wife make lunch - Shampoo Opera - give it a spin Spare some of your free time? <GreyMaria> I walked around the Lake so many goddamn times that my sex drive was brutally murdered Kawa rocks — byuu |

I can't help but wonder how much CPU power Mario takes/is used in Super Mario All-Stars. Considering SMB was an early NES game and a not-so-early SNES game, I'd say that wouldn't be too bad... right? ____________________ Love your lawn. |

Posted by roxahris Not too much (I guess) for the SNES, since the game was originally released on the NES. |

To be honest, after playing New Super Mario Bros Wii with two players... I think the SNES resolution is too small to allow proper fun Multiplayer. NSMB is flexible with the game resolution by stretching out the screen a little when players are on the opposite sides of the screen.
It's probably better to remake a engine from scratch for multiplayer SMW. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

If you saw it, why don't you link to it?
Unless you're thinking of the Super Mario War game. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Seriously, I saw it about a month ago. It's hands down the most impressive SMW hack I've ever seen. He did something that Nintendo tried for years to do with one of there own games. |

Although I don't know anything about SMW hacking-wise, I don't buy the idea that Mario is taking so much CPU cycles that you can't just double the sprite and connect it to the second controller. How do you know Mario is taking a lot of CPU power? How did you test this assertion and if you really know it, what is the approximative % of CPU is it taking? |

Obviously it is possible, plus other games did co-op so it would have been possible even in the old times. |
