Hello I'm the spite artist Kuja mentioned awhile back who's been working with him sense the beginning of this hack.

He gave me permission to show off one of the new enemies for Duplexman's stage. I'd rather not give away more than his looks for now but his names been shortened to T-Joe. Saying his real name would give too much away.

That sprite is very cool! Can't wait to see this hack completed, or have a new demo... that would be a great X-Mas gift! I know you guys don't want to give too much away in terms of story line, but I'm curious to know if Proto Man, Roll, and other characters will be involved somehow? Will the Proto Man battles be in tact, or have they been removed? It might be cool to give Proto Man a new look, or have Mega fight another foe... just throwing some idea's out to you guys. I've been away for awhile and am finally getting to catch up on all the hacks being made.

I can say this much to you. Don't treat this like a hack of Megaman 3. This has got to go out and beyond that. Once everything's said and done there will be no similarities between this hack and Megaman 3.

Well, I'll be looking out for it. I was blown away by the first demo... this is one of the most advanced hacks I've ever seen! I know that Infidel plans on releasing Mega Man Ultra 2 to be playable on actual NES hardware, as I have the first one on cart already, will your hack be able to be dumped on an NES cart as well? I hope so, but figured I'd ask... Take care, keep up the great work on your hack!

Yeah maybe, but i can't really ever know my self because i do not own a NES so i wouldn't know the answer truly. Back in june or july this year, i managed to get someone on the nesdev forums to test this game out on a real NES, and it worked all good.

except for the weapon/pause menu screen being all screwed up because his cart did not have more than 8 KB saveRAM. Which this game uses more than the normal 8 kb limit.

So i wont really know honestly as this game evolves throughout the future how well it'll even get to work on a NES at all. But i am not expecting that many people would really actually play this on a nes anyway, just emulators.

For what it's worth to you Kuja, I'd play it on an NES!! Once it's completed, I'll see about getting it dumped to a cart, if it can be done, then I'll be ordering one from gamereproductions.com

It just feels more like a video game if I can play it on real hardware... that's just me though. I'm sure there are those who prefer emulation... either way, I can't wait to play!

Still slow as ever honestly. Dont know really if this will be done before 2009 is over.

There's still so much un-finished stuff that i haven't even started on for years.

No get weapon screen, no "boss selected" screen. It's very un-likely that the intro for the 1st duplex level will even be inserted at all by the time the 2nd demo is released. I wanted dr light's lab, 2 screens, the event is coded, but the text script is un-finished...and i dont got the screens, so they'll likely be left blank nothing-ness for the demo.

I really doubt i'll get any songs put in, only just 2 so far, 1 for the 2nd boltman level, 1 for the 1st duplex level, ..still need 2...but i dont know what i truly officially want.

I've done thousands and thousands of bytes, of custom hand-written coding all in hex for this whole duplex theme.

Hahaha it's okay man, take your time. You don't have any deadlines to rush other than the ones you set for yourself. A true masterpiece takes copious amounts of hard work and refurbishing, yes? And even if you feel Duplex's level isn't what you want it to be, a demo is just a rough draft. It can be edited to your iconic image after the release of the demo, and feedback from others is appreciated as well. Even though at this point in time, all I can offer is support (until I get my new computer in a few days) for your project.

I'm still working on Gemini Man and Hard Man's levels for my MM3 hack before I plan to release a demo-- currently unable to tweak them right now because my computer goes kapoot on programs like Mega FLE X when booted. I'll be glad to help you if you need it when I learn more about ROM hacking. XD

Mine too, when my brother is using it until the system files corrupted. I have plans to create and release my Mega Man IV hack around Christmas but can't now. Instead of making both Bright and Skull levels, I'll release Skull Man for now when it gets better.

Plus there's still some unfinished sprite work with Wily 4 and Ending scene.

It's good to back up your projects in your Flash Drive or your private uploader account after editing.

Just wanna say to people, im positive duplex will be done within the next 2 weeks estimate, or less.

* Level design is about 3/4th's completed in terms of how many total screens left to do.
* Might have a song for the 2nd half, but it's more un-likely than it is likely ... to happen.
* at least 2 or 3 japanese people via 2ch, literally have asked about progress.
* the intro for the first level will remain un-finished and empty for now unfortanetely... "ex-cluding" story.

And i dont want to brag or anything, but just letting it out to everyone - it's amazing that the bolt demo has been downloaded 665 times already this year. It's quite a plesaure to know so many hundreds of people have tried it out. (according to acmlm board uploader's download counter)

Going to start on necro man very soon.

**graphic design for 2nd level:
Speedremix/nebula black hopefully, dont know how much he'll do, i was hoping at least half of it would be based on a graveyard,

** level design:
Minyel, i dont know what kind of secrets or hidden stuff there should be for the 2nd official half. But if anyone out there has any suggestions, feel free to say something cause i dont have any idea what to do exactly. That's why ideas is one of my WEAK points.
So this might not even have branched paths at all then.

** enemies:
megaman-omega, and the 1st level. There would be some types of enemies like a ghost, zombie or skeleton or stuff like that.

100% Coding:
just me alone since that's really all i can do more compared to anything.

really truly hope to move this game forward more. i haven't done a thing since the demo cause nothing's been done or made yet.
Just fix problems, delete a few things from the space shooting level, stuff like that.

I guess I should come up with a GOOD story.

It's too bad there are no Mega Man episodes produced by Ruby Spears involving spooky stuff.

I kinda wish they haven't cancelled it after the 2nd/3rd season.
