Click here to DL the patch.

Here's a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-dqQ7U1y9s

-27 new spells and attacks +new animations for every one
-16 new items +3 new item animations
-1 new weapon animation
-Mario no longer shoots fire orbs

NOTE: Every modification in this hack was done solely with the new version of Lazy Shell (v2.1). The new version will be released soon.

LOL @ "Who gives a f***kity f***ka!"

What's the password for?

Anyway, I loved the Pizza/Lazy Shell/Mario head attack. You didn't have to give the bosses so many HP though. I mean, come on! 120000!?

I hope the 2.1 is a little bit user friendly. I also hope you fixed the text editor bug.

The bosses have ridiculously high HP because I wanted the player to be able to experience all of the new spells and attacks the bosses can use (since some are chosen randomly).

on the password: it's not for anything. It's only there to make the player feel like they've accomplished something, i.e. their reward is a tiny bit of exclusive but useless information

Oh. I even tried putting it as a save file name

Sad thing is, even though it's only a "tech demo" it's still one of the best SMRPG hacks out there.

There are barely any out there anyway, so it's not like there's much to compare it to.

That's what I meant, it's sad there are so very few hacks, even a tech demo is better than most of them.

When H. Hector used Plexiglass, it glitched Mario's palette. He turned black/yellow/something. Looked like Hector's palette, my guess.

Did you use an item against the boss, such as the VX Gas? I most likely should have cleared or set some bits somewhere in the VX Gas animation, which would free the palette memory to be used by other palettes.

Also, thanks to anyone for the feedback.

Yeah, I used VX Gas just to see what his grueling counter-attack would be. Mario's color changed right when Plexiglass finished.

I can't wait until 2.1 is released. I can start on my hack when that happens. =D

I played through it and I have to say... I can't wait. Custom images as attacks... Field limitations on attacks such as Breaker Beam... A Giant Pizza... I just cannot wait. It'll be the most epic Hack Utility ever released!

One question, though...

Spoiler:
How the hell are we supposed to beat the final boss? I mean... If I go invincible, so does he. Stupify does 213 damage to me, and I only have 209 HP. Am I supposed to use a White Wine first off? Even then, how do I survive the giant Pizza from hell? It did over 150 damage to the Mario in Lazy Shell v1.0's Test Mario, who has maxed stats and equipment... I had to cheat in order to win that fight...

BTW, a question, does 2.1 allow stressed letters?
I'm trying to translate this, and I had to replace the ^, * and such, so :/

You'll have to copy the character you want to create a stressed version of and paste it into an empty space or another unused character. The new version will support the use of every character except the one after Z. If you want to insert the character into dialogue, you can put its integer value between []. The new version will have a label that tells you what a character's integer value is when you hover over it in the font table.

Not to sound over-eager or like an ass... Ah, who am I kidding? I am over-eager and am willing to risk sounding like an ass. =D Does the new version of Lazy Shell have a release date or time frame? I'mma little bit excited. =p

:/
That'll be a pain in the *** to write [xxx].
Would it be possible to assign the said stressed character to an key combination? (Eg. Alt+A)? If so, could you implement that function in some version? Please?

See, that's how I did it in the first version : http://i29.tinypic.com/2pyw102.jpg

Oh and what about the multi-messages? When one message appears few times? For me, if I try to edit the second message, it removes a huge lot of available characters. I remember that REMOVING a letter from the clone message made the available character count GO DOWN by 100 or so.

I'm really liking this next version looks like it'll be addressing a lot of things that even I don't think I could figure out completely. It certainly brings up the temptation to start a new SMRPG hack after I release the final version of SMRPG True Remix.

Very nice hack, but I can't beat the Dodo boss. He uses the bullet bill attack on me and I always die. Do I have to do something different to kill him or what?

Also I have to ask, even though people above already asked it, when is v2.1 coming out?
