Same, er, the only thing I could imagine is to get some active users to make frequent updates (News) to it, it doesn't matter what improvements you do to it if it's going to sit there >4 months looking the same (besides stats related to the forum.)

To somewhat hijack the topic,
do you presently have any interest in maintaining (or using at all, on that matter) the frontpage? It's been in sorts of a state of abandon.

Any suggestions regarding what to do with it are welcome.
I think we should extend the announcements feature for use on the board as well. The front page is pretty interlaced with the board anyway, and I think we should get rid of the PoRA box and have the announcements replace it.

As far as the front page itself goes, I think a layout change would be in order. It looks too crowded. A front page I would expect to look more like a blog. The window categories should be visible in a list with its subcategories/links visible only by expanding. I also think the front page should be a bit brighter. For a message board to have a dark scheme; that's acceptable because you spend most of your time here in this community. You want the front page to be captivating and pleasantly bright, not dark and boring.

The frontpage is fully compatible with board themes; if someone was to make a bright board theme that works sufficiently well, it would be usable with the frontpage too. Two birds, one stone etc.

As for the overcrowdedness argument, I kind of understand what you are getting at. It would be quite easy to dispose of all the additional windows - but at the end of the day, you'd still need somebody there who actually blogs.

Yeah, I would say the same thing too. I had a hard time finding the themes, and I almost thought they had all of the board's themes. The Fragmentation theme can be the default one, because it looks a bit more captivating. As for looking at the board's themes, we could use a "Preview" button or something when we want to choose themes.

So Dad just bought me a replacement keyboard. I selected the Microsoft Wired Keyboard 600. It's nice and square, nice and quiet, and it feels so fucking weird.


But at least I can press E, P, and ' without the keyboard giving me shit.
