Sarcasm...

EDIT: Also, very lucky post count

way to use such a lucky post count on just clarifying sarcasm! haha

Anyway, that must have been a huge pain, not to mention pretty scary. Good thing there was no actual bomb.

Ah, the joys of not being in a public school or college.

NO BOMB "THREATS".

GM: I wouldn't call that a "threat" so much as a scare.

Bukk: Eh, it wasn't a scary, I just had to deal with whiners...

I just saw a list of how healthy each state is. Vermont was the number 1 healthiest state in the US, while Mississippi was the least healthy.... No surprise THERE, but I just found this kinda interesting. Anyone wanna see where their state ranks?

That's pretty interesting Marzen, I kinda want to know how Pennsylvania ranks on that. Though I wouldn't be surprised if it was middle to low end because of all the old people here.

I was sitting in my Public Speaking class this morning and my teacher was going around, asking about what our demonstrative speech topic would be. When she got to my friend (who preferred I posted this using his board name) VincentAzerite, she asked him what he was doing and asked him what he was good at, he replied with "Music" and I decided to be a smart ass and say, "Oh yeah, play Flight of the Bumble Bee on a piccolo." He just glared at me because he's a big guy with honkin' meaty fingers that are far too big to play the tiny instrument.

First of all: Sorry for the double post.

This morning I got my midterm grade for my Public Speaking class, and to my surprise I was "failing" the class. It wasn't just me, but it was also VincentAzerite and our friend Dave (that is his name, I'm not making reference to the meme). It turns out our dumb bitch teacher "forgot" we did several assignments for the class and stuck zeroes into those grade spots, which took each of us down inton the 40% range. We confronted her rather forcibly because she had fucked us over before and got the grades properly entered which boosted each of us from failing into the mid 80%'s. Something there just doesn't quite add up...

I have an English teacher that insists that I submit drafts of all writing projects I submit to her, even if there's no difference between the draft and final revision.

It's stupid.

I absolutely HATE when teachers make you do that. I mean, what's the point of doing more than one draft when you don't NEED another draft? I also hate when they make you do "brainstorming" and turn that in.

Yeah, I always just do a final copy while doing mandatory TEST essays . Most of the time, at least. I'm a good enough writer that I don't need rough drafts.

I haven't had to write reports for a while, I think since the beginning of 5th grade. Those test essays are mandatory, and I think I've gotten used to them now. I just took a Social Studies test today, and we were all recommended to finish up the essays first. Had four to do, then lots of us had to see Steve Trash... we weren't able to finish the test up, we'll get back to that the next B day (nest Tuesday. ). I got back from the trip earlier, and I introduced SMB3 games to Period 8 and 9 classmates... and they loved it.

I'm kinda glad that tomorrow starts my Thanksgiving break from class. I have a lot of stuff I have to do for my classes that I need time to work on. One is a five page research paper in my Psychology class that I haven't even started research on that's due Monday, the other is a persuasive speech I have to research for to present on either Tuesday or Wednesday... I can't tell if I'm royally fucked or if I'll be in the clear. At this point, I'm gonna have to say I'm the prior...

My brother just had a similar issue, although it was never a failing mark, but the teacher made a real fail in putting a 0 for a major project that my brother got perfect on. Not only that, but she supposedly gave high project and/or assignment marks to students that never even bothered handing them in. Talk about completely disorganized and stupid. Glad that you got the problem solved though, T. (Well, one of them. )

I typically don't even read my final copies before I hand them in. I work paragraph by paragraph, and unless I have a reason to refer back to an earlier section, I hit print when I finish the final paragraph. Also, no rough drafts, but I do like to use outlines.

I normally just skip the rough draft, write the paper, and then look it over again to make sure it's right. Fortunately though, I haven't had to turn in separate rough drafts for anything in a long time. :O

Also, the only time I can recall when I turned in an assignment and the instructor recorded the grade as a 0 anyway is when I turned the assignment in later than the due date...she ended up putting the actual grade in at the end of the semester though.
