We all have those special fighting games we can go back to from time to time. Is it Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Fatal Fury or Tekken? There's too many to name, great moves, endings, animation etc.

The only two games of that kind I tried are Touhou 10.5 (Hisouten/Scarlet Weather Rhapsody) and Akatsuki Blitzkampf. Out of those, I liked the former more.

My favorites are Soul Calibur II and III, and the Super Smash Brothers series.

Where to even BEGIN on this one

Overall most favorite fighter: Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +. This game is just far too classy. It's really good! Like... Really, really good.

Other great fighters?

Street Fighter 3: Third Strike is just a sweet, sweet game actually! Like, this game is extremely class.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is pretty cool. It's also nothing like Third Strike.

Akatsuki Blitzkampf is kinda like Third Strike, but easier to get into and possibly even a better game.

BlazBlue is kinda meh right now but in later revisions it'll probably develop into something pretty good, given its developers' track record.

Melee is a pretty sweet game! So is Brawl+ actually. Vanilla Brawl is quite mediocre. And then Smash 64 is just ludicrously broken.

Soul Calibur II was pretty sweet. A slight bit broken, though. Soul Edge and Soul Calibur are both unrefined, Soul Calibur 3 is broken, Soul Calibur 4 is slow and boring.

Garou: Mark of the Wolves (the last game in the Fatal Fury series) is another old but good game.

The King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match is very well-balanced and fun. The King of Fighters XII I haven't played much of, but from what I have seen so far it looks awesome. I can definitely see it developing into my second-favorite fighter.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom is a very exciting game that follows in the footsteps of renowned good game Marvel vs Capcom 2.

I have not played Immaterial and Missing Power, but it seems good from what I've seen. If more people I knew played it, I would want to try to learn it... But I don't have enough time to justify it as it stands. Scarlet Weather Rhapsody is awful and no one should ever play it.

I may want to get into Melty Blood: Actress Again. Depends on if a local scene develops. I've played previous Melty Blood games, but not very thoroughly. It looks like it could be good.

I feel like there's a good chance I forgot something. I'll tell you what I didn't forget, though: Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter IV, and Tekken. Heh.

I do not play Fighting Games. I'm, for some reason, quite good with them, so that takes a bit of the challenge away, especially for single player modes. I have no one to play with for multi-player anyways, so eh.

As for my favorites, probably either Super Smash Brothers Melee, or Soul Calibur 2. I had the most fun with these two, so naturally they're my favorites. I liked Brawl and SC4, but I prefer these older ones for whatever reason.

Fighting games aren't exactly my type of game, though I have to say the last one I played and enjoyed was DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 2, not much else to really add.

The Budokai Tenkaichi games were great. I also had quite a bit of fun with Street Fighter 4, and a long time ago when me and my brother rented Guilty Gear XX for the PS2.

My all time favorite though has to be Super Smash. Melee and Brawl, more specifically, as I didn't play the original much at all. Not been playing Brawl a ton recently, and won't have a chance to as my brother is probably taking the wii with him to college, but it's a fantastic game.

There's one that I'm really excited to play, called BlazBlue (blaze-blue, not blahz-blue hehe). Came out near the end of June as special edition, but nowhere near me has it in stock. My brother ordered the normal version, though, which comes out in 2 days, and payed for the entire thing with trade-ins

Needless to say, I'm excited for it. I'll tell you all how it is once we get it.

I wholeheartedly agree. That I can say by experience from owning 2 of them.

The others are the first Virtua Fighter and SSBB, I think.

Bukkarooo, what system are you getting BlazBlue for?

Also another fighting game I forgot about but which is really cool is Gundam Wing: Endless Duel.

360. It was supposed to get in today, but apparently it's on backorder right now. So glad we paid extra for 1 day shipping! XP
