Well, I do receive some, but I didn't count crap like spam, ads, activation e-mails for pages I'm only going to visit once in my life and all that. I also have an extra account I'm using to prevent that my "personal" inbox gets flooded with that crap.

I just don't know anyone who I should send e-mails, it's that simple. I use IRC or PMs for those I'm talking with, as this is a much nicer and faster way.

I have Gmail and a university E-mail account, both of which are webmail, so I don't use a special program to check E-mail. I actually prefer webmail becuse I regularly check my E-mail from two different computers and I find it more convenient to be able to check my E-mail from a web browser.

Some e-mails I receive are very important, andd my life depends on them some of the time.

I use ThunderBird.

I get very important E-mails from university, and my parents E-mail me a lot. Otherwise, it's usually account activations (I hate those!) and password reminders and such. Oddly enough, neither of my current E-mail accounts ever get any spam at all.

Well, I only use Hotmail and Gmail. I don´t use any mail notifiers more than MSN Messenger which tells me when I´ve got a new mail.

I don't use any mail notifiers. I just check my E-mail a few times a day. Of course, sometimes I forget for a few days, and miss something important like my boss saying "Enter your hours for the past two weeks into the computer by Friday at 08:00".

I used to have Thunderbird for my AOL account because it supported POP3 for free unlike my Yahoo account. Then, I noticed that most of those account activation never show up in Thunderbird so I decided to stop using Thunderbird and AOL altogether and went back to Yahoo.

I don't use Thunderbird, I prefer checking my email about twice a day using Gmail.

I don't like email programs like that... they're not as convenient as webmail for me.

I use gmail, and it's nice because I often use my email for homework storage, just in case I need to print something up at school.

I had outlook in the past, and it really turned me off those email programs. What a freaking nightmare.

I use gmail for my main address(es), but I still use Thunderbird for my old AOL address that some people still use to contact me. I've also set up gmail for pop3 access so I can check my gmail accounts at school using Thunderbird because the school blocks mail.google.com.

I've used Thunderbird ever since I got Firefox. I'm a whore.

I don't get much e-mail though... I end up using it to read newsgroups and look at RSS feeds mainly.

Can't say I've ever used a newsgroup. They're kinda the precursor to message boards? I was introduced to the Internet through the World Wide Web in 2001, so I found message boards befpre I knew what a newsgroup even was. I have read a few posts on Google Groups, but that's it.
